Re: Robin Gibb in coma

The Bee Gee's is still one of my favorite groups. I hate this cancer. I pray he comes out of this. This just shows why people need to be careful around us when they have something. Of course after surgery he could have aspirated or just gotten it, but still so many people have come around me coughin...

Re: any experience with a feeding tube?

I don't think they would give him an NG tube for seven weeks. They wanted to give me an NG tube last year when they radiated my esophagus and spoke about it now with the thyroid. Both times I told them let's see how it goes and if I really need one. This may be something he may want to opt for since...

Re: Folfiri side effects ugh :(

Sorry I can't help you. I never got nausea from ironetican, only oxi, really bad. I quit because it didn't work for me. I can't think of any other antinausea meds. Maybe give it one more try to see if you possibly had a stomach bug coincidently at the same time??? Just a thought.

Re: Gratefullness

I don't go to support groups. I would but there are not any closer than an hour plus each way. I have found new found ways for looking at all the things you speak of too, plus others and anything that helps you look at those things with more beauty and the magic that that God created all this is won...

Re: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TERRY!

Thank you! Yes, us Aries are a rare breed aren't we;). I was suppose to be on my way to radiation, but they called and said the machine was down so I'm now waiting to go later. I guess I didn't have any big party plans so it's not THAT big of a deal (not like it would have been when I was in my 20's...

Please, if you don't like this topic, ignore it plain and simple. It says in the title what's the meaning of this weekend and everyone knows it's easter weekend. Be polite and human.

Thank you!

The meaning of this weekend

This is the most horrendous weekend and the most beautiful and wonderful weekend of a Christian persons life. First on Friday the Lord was tormented about belief for preaching his beliefs of salvation and what you need to do to get heaven. Believe that he IS the son of God and came, died and suffere...

Re: Things aren't looking good/update 4/2/12

Oh I'm gonna zap that thing and the thyroid one to kingdom come if possible! Got a call today to go and see the onc. tomorrow. Guess that means getting hooked up to 5FU or IV push or however they decide. I was kind of hoping they'd wait until after the weekend since I have so many little ones I'm go...

Re: Things aren't looking good/update 4/2/12

Well, can't post any new pics because daughter refuses to take any more, says too gross. I think she's right. The good news is after only one rad. treatment it seems to be melting away. Today was number two so we'll see how each day goes. I did notice I am able to breath with my mouth closed and tha...

Re: Another Hospice Update

I'm sorry your going through this, it's hard to watch your family member that you love suffer. The nurse is correct (being a nurse myself), often the family member needs to hear it's O.K. from you for them to go. I've seen it happen often. I pray for peace, no pain and a quick passing for your mom a...

Re: Make Mine a Double--The Real Deal

Well Eric, I just read pages 1 - 7 on here. WOW what an adventure you had. You have to be one of the toughest men I've ever met (even in cyberspace). Gosh I wish I had your lung compacity. After my lung surgery I tried jogging, wasn't good at it but did do walking and slowly started on the bike I pu...

Re: Things aren't looking good.

It means so much to me to know that I've helped even on of you. Thank you for telling me:) I'm doing alright and believe it or not, after only one treatment to the nose it looks like it may have shrunk just a bit. I suppose if it can grow that fast, it could shrink that fast. I am having problems wi...

Re: When it's time, you know...

That's pretty much how I feel, when the chemo no longer works I'm done, OR if I can't take it anymore. I'm off it for now and I'm staying off (which they may not like) until after the nose tumor is radiated. So we're kind of similar in some way. Shocking huh;) This can change so quickly. My family i...

Things aren't looking good/update 4/2/12

I forget exactly when I wrote my last one so I'll do a real brief up to date. 2 Mondays ago folfox last Monday I.V. hydration + potassium + G.I. cocktail for severe stomach pain. These Tuesday went for 2nd folfox but couldn't get it due to WBC 1.2, RBS 2.7, Hgb 8, Platelets 100,000 (not awful for pl...
