Re: G-Tube placed

I am really sorry, I hope she is free from pain. 1-3 months is a very short time and there is not much to say that can help. You are both in my toughts.

Re: Scan scheduled

I can imagine the frustration of not getting a conclusive result, but there is still a good chance that it is not a metastasis. When are having the PET scan?

Thanks Susan! I hope we will be able to drive to Italy to get even more light (like in my profile picture, just perhaps no bikini this time  ).

What's the new surgery in a week?

They are removing one metastasis from my left lung, hopefully endoscopically.

Re: Reversal

Two weeks since reversal and everything is fine, today I removed the one external stitch since the stomy hole is almost completely closed. New surgery in a week. Today I also did an ultrasound of the urine bladder and no more residual.

Re: A cautionary tale

I had several people telling me that they would never let the surgeon cut them or they would never take chemo , but rather go for the natural approach. What they don’t see is that anything at the end is chemical, there is no dichotomy between «natural» and «chemical». Some natural remedies are used ...

Yes! Congratulations! Today I have only done 9669 because I was at work and then we had a summer party and did not walk the dogs :D But tomorrow I will try to compensate for it.

Re: 2 weeks after colon surgery

Hello this is my 1st time posting but have read a lot and learned a lot reading all the post. Had colon surgery 2 weeks ago to remove malignant tumor. All going well and have been diagonised with Stage 2 colon cancer with no lympe node involvement. Question is I was anemic before surgery around 9 a...

Re: New Member here on the forum

It is really difficult to give advice, how many rounds were you supposed to do? I would really describe your situation and all the side effects and follow your oncologist advice. Switching to Folfox seems also a good alternative if you want to finish your treatment. Protocols are different and studi...

Re: Reversal

To prepare myself for reversal I also did two small enemas (120 ml) the week before to clean the colon from mucus and get it used to adsorb water. I read a doctor who advised to do it several weeks in a row before surgery. I also noticed that the capsules with probiotics that I started taking after ...

Re: Reversal

I agree. Your story is almost amazing and is great to hear. I wonder how much is due to your healthy/active state of mind and lifestyle? I mean this as a compliment to your character which is always looking at the best outcome!? thanks for that. Maybe I see the glass half full, and I got used to so...

Re: Just diagnosed with rectal cancer and terrified

Hello, I just found out this morning that I have a mass in my rectum. I had been experiencing intermittent bleeding for about six weeks. I have all my follow up scheduled, but won’t know anything for a week. I’m terrified that because it was bleeding that it will be later stage. I’m also terrified ...

Re: Reversal

A little update: after a week things are going better and better, no urgency and no problems at all. I have started eating salad and other veggies in small pieces, still avoiding fruit I think, but pistaches were ok.
