Re: DK37 Personal/Trial Update - In Case of Emergency Break Glass

Damnit...Not something I expected to hear from your newest update Tom. At least you were clear and decisive on what you need to do. I hope that chemo gives you the response/shrinkage needed to begin the oncolytic virus protocol ASAP. I will continue to pray for you. To Life!!!

Re: Good news for once!!!

Awesome news!! I remember suggesting you try PD(L)-1 immunotherapy instead of chemo months ago-- so glad you did and its working for you. I hope and will pray that it will continue to work and shrink those mets to open up even more treatment options!!

Fantastic insight on the reality of day to day life with this terrible disease Tom. Thanks so much for the update and we will all be praying for and thinking of you in the coming weeks. Looking forward to your updates from the upcoming trial (if you choose to do them, no pressure, of course! :D ), a...

Re: Reduced ascites?

Is the ascites from the liver or peri mets? My mom had liver only and it produced a LOT of ascites fluid, especially in the last two months of her precious life. It always seemed to increase, never decrease, until the last week or so of her life-- but I think that was probably due to the reduction o...

Re: DK37's Personal BIG PICTURE Opinions on CLINICAL TRIALS

^^ No worries Vilca, your honesty is refreshing and welcome. If one really wants the best QOL, and can accept their days are numbered, perhaps they would forego standard protocol chemo as well. There are people that do. I truly believe in my heart that my mother endured unnecessary suffering by taki...

Re: Bad news yesterday

Several here that are MSI-High and/or Lynch positive have had very good results on PD(L)-1 antibodies. You have reason to be hopeful. That said, what you are doing with the letters and prepping is a very somber thing, but I think its a good idea because right now you have your wits and general healt...
