Re: Out-And-About Too Soon?

after my port placement I wouldn't pick up my Wilson 9mm handgun let alone a Remington shotgun!! But picking up my hubby's credit card to go shopping.....no problem. I hope your mom enjoyed her time out. (I also had steri strips, for port and tumor surgery)

Re: kombucha,kraut and kefir

I've also been eating yogurt every day and it has helped some too. BUTT, I have also found that eating white rice that has sat in the refrigerator overnight has helped too. It's something to do with the resistant starch that it produces. I read about it from the website http://www.marksdailyapple.co...

I'm for Amarillo so you can stop off and see Palo Duro Canyon. It's awesome!! Also, several Hollywood movies were filmed there when westerns were popular.

Re: Flaxseed Oil question (ot)

I'm with Ski on the hot compresses. Works well.

But what I really wanted to mention was the BUTTER BEANS.....my favorite!! I spent my summers at my grandparents farm in Mississippi and ate them every day. With cornbread. Wish I had some now.

Re: Don't get mad at me, please

I am nowhere near as serious a cancer fighter as you are.....both of mine were caught early. BUTT, I will say that a number is just that...a number. I seem to remember either you or Terry or Skypup telling someone that in a post long ago. Remember how far you have come and you could be the percentag...

NED still after 7 years

Went to MD Anderson today and had a great checkup for my anal cancer. It's been 7 years since diagnosis in 2007. STILL NED!! Onc says I can either keep coming back to them every year for a checkup or go to my regular doc if I trust him to know how to examine me... I think I'll stay with the ...

My heart is heavy for you.......we don't know where she's going, but we do know she will no longer be in pain, or look at herself and wonder why me. We know she was loved by a wonderful father and mother and husband. She will live forever in you. Peace for you all.

Re: Unexpected cure for chemo nausea...

I didn't drink coffee during treatments probably because I made the MISTAKE of going for the mocha coffee flavored stuff that you have to drink before a contrast CT scan. Not a big fan of it and said never again. (I swear I lost count at going to the bathroom at 18 times before they got me on the ta...

Re: Might be over thinking this

I know when I had my most recent mammogram that I was squeezed like hell and it hurt for a week after. So that could be the cause of aches. Stress from waiting can cause fatigue too. Hang in there. Good luck with the blood work.

Re: Where We Are At

My heart is so torn for you.......:( In my back yard now, I just saw two of the biggest hawks I have ever seen in my life. They were absolutely beautiful and awesome as they flew away. I wondered if it meant anything and now I do as that was the first thing I thought about after reading your post. Y...

Re: What If People Around You Think You're Going to DIe?

I can understand how you feel somewhat....my own mother can be what my family likes to call "Debbie Downer" (no offense to Debbies!!) I've had two cancers and she swears to my aunts that I'm probably not telling her everything and I have a 3rd cancer (what that is I have no idea!! ARGH!). ...
