Re: Treatment 7 and Allergic Reaction

There has been a lot of people with reactions over the past years that did it with premeds and even by getting desensitized and having it in the hospital. This is my 3rd time with oxi and they said I have a higher risk of allergic reaction each time. I'm praying that doesn't happen, but for me I wil...

Re: If It Were You Would You....

I live an hour minimum, hour and a half by the time the ambulance would get here from the hospital. Take the break, make the memories, I've done it several times and you have to do it while they're still healthy enough to enjoy it.

Re: those who have made through treatment, need advice

Reading that just breaks my heart  Are your dogs sick? If not why should you put them down? Is your friend willing to just take temporary care of your cat? This HAS to be something your comfortable with and not just because you feel forced into it. Please, please give this some consideration, m...

Re: Bad gas ? Is it the chemo ? It's terrible !!!

Does he have an ostomy? If he does, that smells differently than normal poo and yucko. Yes, I have had different smelling gas (almost as bad as the dog) from chemo also. Get some beano, it should help, or GasX.

Re: Don't look if you have a weak stomach

There's not much info on the web about mets from cr cancer to the nose, what I did find isn't good. There was a 52 y.o. female (I'm 51) in 2008 and she died 3 months after diagnosis. She only had radiation, no chemo and it was also spread to the brain which according to them mind is not. SCAREY! I'm...

Re: Don't look if you have a weak stomach

It seems to be getting a little better every day. I keep hoping they made a mistake and maybe it was just circulating tumor cells in the blood they picked up and not really a cancerous tumor. It's pretty big a oogly though.

Thanks for the prayers:)

Re: Think I may have problem

This could be a diet problem, hemorrhoids, colitis or other things, but it's best to get it checked out because as you can see there those your age and younger that do get this disease. MAKE the doctor listen to you, don't take no for an answer tell him/her you want a scope. Take a printout of the a...

Re: No liver resection *tears*

It looks like your CEA went from 2,200 down to 50 and that's a good thing. Have you been on folfox? Perhaps that will work to get rid of the rest of them and then you'll have to do maintenance. I know this is like a bunch in the gut, but in a week or two it will be a little better to come to terms w...

Re: FOLFOX Round 5 done

You may have been told this by someone already but in case not spray your back well with PAM and it will help with the pancaking (packing as you call it). That really helps it to fall down, not smell as much and not break the seal. I had that seal break before doing that because I forgot about it, y...

Re: Transitioning from Maintenance chemo to observation

Can we get a little more information? How long have you been on maintenance and with what drug/s? I know someone that's been on maintenance for 2 yrs. with Xeloda and Avastin and has thoughts occasionally about going off or having it surgically removed. Nothing has changed at all for her on maintena...

Re: I need $6400 for a toilet

I saw one of those on the Million Dollar Realestate show or whatever it's called. It's pretty dang cool. You stand up to it and the seat lifts by itself, yes it played music, had a badet' (sp?), dryer, warmer on the seat, pretty awesome. If you win the lottery can you buy me one too:)LOL, just kiddi...

Re: Date for Liver resection

Let's think of the positivies Diane: 1. Fairly small tumor 2. Only one 3. Nothing anywhere else I would op for mop op chemo, even if it's only Xeloda or 5FU, but that's me and you have to make the decision. Like I said in the pm I sent, CALL me and we'll talk this out. God is with you no matter what...
