Re: Lynch/ Torre Muir new diagnosis &1st colonoscopy schedul

I can't comment on the lynch, but can on the hyster. I had severe bowel/rectal pressure a few years ago. I went to the doctor and she set me up for a variety of tests, the first being a barium enema, which found a polyp in my colon, which was later removed during a colonoscopy. She then sent me to a...

Re: Could it be good news?

so sorry to hear about your mom. My dad is on folfiri. He has had 3 out of 6. His side effects have been manageable. He was given meds for nausea before going for chemo and has had no problems with that at all so far. He has had diarrhea, which he had prior to chemo due to his cancer, but it has got...

RIP sweet Marco, your pain has ended and now your loved ones and friends has begun. What a truly touching video. Words of wisdom that I hope everyone listens to and starts to live by. Let that be Marco's legacy.

Good news from my neighbor

My neighbor was diagnosed with colon cancer a little over 5 years ago. His wife was battling pancreatic cancer at the time. His tumor was to big for surgery, so they did radiation. He had to go to the city for daily treatments, and was 2 hours from his wife. Sadly she passed away while he was in tre...

Re: KANGEN WATER helped my mother..

That's good to know. I knew that anti oxidants were bad as I had talked to the oncologist about diet changes. We have talked to him before doing anything. That Tagamet he had never heard of for cancer, but said it wouldnt hurt so gave us the prescription.

Re: Our nightmare

I am so sorry to read about your mom. That is not fair the hell that you both went through. I can't believe that any hospital would treat a human being like this. Sending hugs and strength to you. Take care of yourself!!

Re: KANGEN WATER helped my mother..

Thank you Tamara, I am open to anything that might help. Somethings maybe work for some and not others. If it doesnt effect the chemo I see no problem trying some of these other things. THere was a time here where drinking peroxide was all the rage for cancer. My dad had spoke to a fellow who was to...

Re: I have a surgery question

Thank you, THis has been the struggle for us. None of us live there. I am 3 hours away and my sister almost 2. We have been trying to juggle his appts so that someone goes to them but we are only allowed so many days off work and I am saving mine for the surgery. I think we have one of my daughters ...

Re: I have a surgery question

I reread what I wrote and should clarify that he did have a catscan after his colonoscopy as they thought it was all contained by how it looked but wanted to be sure. That scan showed the 5 liver spots and 2 in lungs. I meant he has not had a scan since starting chemo. Sadly we are really limited he...

I have a surgery question

When my dad was first diagnosed, the oncologist said surgery was not an option. He has 3 more round of chemo to go, next one being this Wed. They have now brought up having surgery and have already booked him an appt on Oct 15 with a surgeon for a consultation, but he doesnt even have his first scan...

Re: NEW THREAD FOR LOVED ONES LEFT BEHIND ONGOING

Reading all of your stories about signs, made me want to share my moms story. My mom has always felt a very strong presence around her of her father. We went with my daughter to a medium a couple years ago and my mom stole the show as her dad was with her and she heard all kinds of very true things....
