Re: Chemo every 2 weeks vs 3 weeks

Thanks Rob/Mad - Well said Rob...I will discuss with oncologist but that is what we are doing basically hitting it every 2 weeks to not give it options for cell repair (makes most sense to me). Things seems stable, I hope next week when I go back in CEA goes down. Right now CEA is at 264, was 261 la...

Can’t say much regarding your 2 vs 3 weeks Folfiri - DH had it every two weeks I believe, we were never aware 3 was an option.

Right now I am going back on a 2 week schedule basically to attack the cancer as aggressive as possible, but honestly I don't ...

Re: My Current Protocol——-All Thoughts/Criticism Welcomed

I hear you Riki on the giving up part. It bothers me too, but i learned 2 things through this experience. One is I have a lot of anger, well more than usual. So much so that I started therapy, odd since I was never a big believer but it has at least helped me sort out my feelings. Apparently losing...

Re: My Current Protocol——-All Thoughts/Criticism Welcomed

Riki, I am genuinely happy for anyone that has a chance for a cure by participating in a clinical trial or alternative therapy, etc. Cancer is awful...However, there are individuals on here that are fortunate to be able to travel to various locations multiple times to participate in treatments. I d...

Re: My Current Protocol——-All Thoughts/Criticism Welcomed

prayingforccr: I hope the TIL trial works for you. I agree with Riki that you should explore all options before giving up. Not to sound like a jerk but how are you getting access to all of these trials? You mention a new trial every week. All of the trials that I have researched have a requirement ...

Re: Who are the longest stage 4 survivor's on here?

I am still here fighting since Dec 2016. Ups and Downs, currently stable, back on FolFiri to get things back down, but dealing with it. Have some cancer pain, not NED yet, but still alive and able to work, sleep, play games and enjoy life the best I can.

Re: Anti Depressants

Thanks for all the posts. We decided not to move forward with them. I am going to tough this out as much as I can. It is just so hard to see my loved ones watch me go through this, my Dad is a mess and its hurts my heart so much to think he can't do nothing for his son. My Mom/Wife/Kids same boat, b...

Re: My Current Protocol——-All Thoughts/Criticism Welcomed

PFCCR - Keep in mind a lot of people do SOC not just to push survivability, but to control cancer pain symptoms. When you start having cancer pain you might sing a different tune. You are so early in this process and have a lot of options available to you. Listen to your doctors, we all know going i...
