Re: Prognosis question

I want to believe the man but my inner septic is wrestling with numbers that favor me but not to the extent of 10-15 percent. What is the meaning of "my inner septic "? Is this a nick name for your colon? Speaking of probability of recurrence I recall an old joke about a blonde. Q: What i...

CT scan resolution?

I understand that new CT scan machines have better resolution.

How important is such difference?

In practice, do you pay any attention to CT scan machine model/generation when scheduling a CT scan?

Re: Diet after colorectal surgery

Re: Hemicolectomy after-effects

Allypally, have you had a laparoscopic or an open surgery?
In case of laparoscopic surgery my bowel movements pattern more or less normalized in about three months.

Re: The Box

I get the impression that they follow certain protocol and if that’s not good enough, then it “feels” to me, that they cash their chips in. sdino , in the US big hospitals are especially concerned about lawsuits, because they have tons of money. There are armies of malpractice lawyers salivating ev...

Recommended Stage 1 follow up?

What is a standard follow up for Stage 1? I got an appointment for a colonoscopy in a year after my surgery with the same GI surgeon. What should also be done? Based on the stories in this forum I am concerned about spread to liver or lungs and want to detect such spread (if any) as early as possibl...

Re: Caregiver Survivors Guilt and Unrelenting Deep Sadness

MIke, my condolences to you & your daughters. If I try to cheer my daughters up and smile ... Mike, you do not need to cheer your daughters up. Being sad is OK. Just try finding some bits of positive in your daily life like hiking together, working in the garden etc. My 3 daughters and I have be...
