Re: Larry has an eviction date!!!

My dear friend, I read your note to me several times and I am so thrilled that you finally have a surgery date! I am praying for you and will place you in our wider prayer circle as well. I know that you are "cowgirl tough" and can beat Larry and anything he throws at you. I do have a pai...

Re: Colon cancer scared!

I'm glad you got approval for a colonoscopy. While they are not very fun it really is the only way to rule it out. My 9 cm tumor showed as inflammation on my initial CT scan and my liver Mets were said to be lesions. I had a 10 almost 11 cm tumor between the lobes of my liver as well as a few smalle...

Re: Larry has an eviction date!!!

Wow! I had no idea a left side resection could be that complicated. My husband might need the entire left side removed, as well. His surgeon tends to be very equivocating. Is your surgeon sure the tumor is attached to an artery? What would determine whether she needs to do the crazy rebuild procedu...

Larry has an eviction date!!!

Well, we have an eviction date for Larry! On October 5th I will go in and have the entire left side of my liver removed (from Larry over). Surgeon is still not sure how the surgery will be done, she may have to do the crazy complex one that involves heart lung bypass. It all depends on how attached ...

Re: BeansMama - I'm still kicking (butt that is)

Thanks everyone. I have gotten quite a reprieve from looking at him. He was out of town most of last week (guess where?) lol. Was home for 2 days - just long enough to drive me to treatment and back to keep up his appearances. What he doesn't realize is that they all know already. I am seeing a ther...

Re: Has anyone heard of this

I had 17 treatments with oxi with folfox and then 5 more later with folfirinox. I didn't have a choice though, we were throwing everything at it that we could because my tumor was aggressive and chemo resistant. My onc did say I had reached maximum toxicity with the oxi after the 17 rounds but I did...

Re: BrownBagger ....... I don't know what to say

I am so sorry to hear the news, I haven't been on much lately so I am a little late. He was always so cheerful, I didn't know him very well but he will be missed deeply. My condolences to his friends and family. I know those words cannot ease the pain felt as a result of his loss, but I am sending t...

Re: Lynch Syndrome and 12mm polyp

I also have Lynch and yes, polyps can grow very fast. I had a second colonoscopy about 8 months after my primary tumor was removed - 10 months after the first colonoscopy that found the cancer because of other issues. They found and removed 5 polyps during that colonoscopy, all were clear, no cancer...

Re: BeansMama - I'm still kicking (butt that is)

Insurance is being a pain about paying for my Keytruda so the battle is on with them. My oncologist is quite peeved as we have proof it was approved then all of a sudden they went back and changed their mind and denied every treatment I have had (at 31,000.00 a pop) just had my 11th treatment this ...
