Hi Jan,
I had 6 of 13 lymph nodes involved . They gave me intravenous chem every tuesday for a year. They monitor your blood constantly and alter doses and medications to compensate for individual conditions. I will be 9yrs clear in Jan ,give your mum my kind regards ,Ron.

Hi Cheryl,
I lost most of my descending colon to stage 3 colon ca,6 regional nodes were positive. That was in Jan 98 and I have been ca free ever since. Best of luck to your husband and you. Fight hard and win. PS I am now considered cured..............Ron.

Hi L2S, I had real problems with the inside of my mouth splitting and bleeding. An older chemo nurse suggested I mix a spoonful of salt and a spoonful of sodium bi-carbonate in a glass of water and use it as a mouth wash morning and evening. I certainly worked for me ,regards . Ron.

Welcome, so sorry that the shared interest had to be cancer. I'm from the Sunshine coast in Queensland. I was dx with st3 6/13 nodes involved, back in Jan 98 ,have been ca free ever since . Good luck for the future only time will ease the fears,Ron.
