Re: Doctor Bedside Manner Training

DH's oncologist is awful! Only reason we stay is because it's MSK. She will literally just get up and leave the room abruptly and we sit there waiting to see if she is coming back. After about 8 minutes we figure she isn't coming back. Definitely gives us a good laugh uring stressful meetings with h...

Re: NED 4.5 year after lung recurrence

You are my guardian angel today! Scan and appt with DH oncologist and lung surgeon next week to discuss next steps for some suspicious spots. We are both so nervous! So nice to know maybe after this he can be NED again.

Re: RFA and lung mets size question?

My multiple lung mets are all small, 7mm or less. No one seems to give me any hope of removing them, just chemo for life. It's frustrating to me too. I've done really well on Folfiri + Avastin for last year. But I'm thinking I need to look seriously into some trials since I feel like I'm just waiti...

Re: No more scans, feeling scared

Did you have 37 lymph nodes positive? That seems like a lot to stop scanning but what do I know. Honestly, I have no clue and was just asking.

Re: Mom gained her angel wings

I am so sorry Natalie. My heartbreaks for you. Though you are too young to lose your Mom, try and remember all of the wonderful memories you have mad with her over the years. Try not to focus on what you are missing. So much easier said than done, but I think it will make sense to you once time goes...

Re: Lung thingys

[quote="Redtexa5"]I am afraid it is not unusual to have the hide and seek lung thingy. I have been having this experience for eight years now. Yes, it is no fun at all, and NO it does not get any easier as time goes by. However, there is just not much to do about it. I don't know if this w...

Re: Lung thingys

So I am guessing this wait and see is pretty normal? I was I kinda want them to determine what's happening and go after it now.

Lung thingys

My husbands lung things have literally been playing hide and seek since diagnosis. They show up on one scan, but not the next, then show up again. It is literally sending me over the edge. Yesterday's scan showed 3 spots but 2 were already there so it's a watch and wait game. Ugh.

Re: Advice/Insight Please - Wife Just Diagnosed

I would like to reiterate that you should get her to Sloane Kettering in NY asap. Ask for Dr. Kemeny as your oncologist, Dr. DeMatteo for liver surgery. They have saved many lives and hers too.

Good luck!

Re: Disability

Wow Bev G! DH has been nervous about finding a job since he's been NED since surgery. He has some side effects from chemo still but slowly starting to get better. Will let him know he still has some time to recover before jumping back into the workforce.

Re: CRC metastasis to lungs first?

Thank you for your prompt replies. The worst part about this is the waiting. Its terrible. Im trying to be as positive and optimistic as possible but I am scared and worried of course. I just don't understand how 3 months ago there was no nodule but in just 12 weeks they find a nodule thats 7mm alr...

Re: Bad news yesterday

Prayers for you! I so wish you could see dr. Kemeny from MSK. She may be able to shrink that one met with hai and get it respectable. So many have had luck with her.
