Re: Tough to Believe

However through the grace of God and the help of maybe the greatest woman alive I'm still here and somehow disease free. I hesitate to post things like this as I know too many others of you are struggling with so much and on some level it feels selfish to speak of successes. But on a day like today...

Re: 6 months just seems so impossibly long right now

Hi, horizon - I have been "following" your story since you first posted here, and I am so glad to see you're almost done with the chemo. I'm in awe of those of you who manage to slog through it. Best wishes - you are in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you. Hopefully you can follow my story...

Re: 6 months just seems so impossibly long right now

It's so frustrating to have to drag myself down to feeling like crap YET again. Yeah, that mental feeling definitely got harder towards the end too, especially when you know you're close and you get that, "well can't we just skip this one?" kind of feeling. I totally remember that This is...

Re: Stage IIA Chemo or Not?

After my resection I had 1/22 nodes involved so I wasn't given a choice. My mom said that if had ended up NOT having surgery she would have always worried that something was missed that could come back later. At first I was angry that I had to have chemo but now I can see the point she was making. I...

Re: Gotta love the "OFF" chemo weeks

Granted, I am not the one going through chemo treatments so it's easier said than done for me ... but, does anyone else get nervous about these chemo breaks? My mother is currently in the middle of one ... she'll start back on Monday and I just simply can't wait for her to get back on that stuff. I...

Re: 6 months just seems so impossibly long right now

Thanks everyone. Each time the cold sensitivity and first bite pain gets a little worse. Last infusion it was a week and a half before my lips wouldn't tingle when I drank anything above room temperature. The most frustrating thing for me about chemo is that I feel like my old self right before an i...

I'm lucky in that I'm able to work from home. I take Wed off for the infusion and work from home on Thurs and Fri. By Mon I'm feeling well enough to go back to work.

Re: What to bring to my first Oxy infusion?

The only thing I have to have is my iPhone. It is a LONG time to be sitting in a chair without being entertained. :) Some headphones are good too if they provide TV that you want to watch.
