Re: Worried about lung mets

I have had about a dozen lung mets in my journey and never had any symptoms. All were either surgically removed or ablated.

Re: Avastin and blood thinners , does anyone here do both? How bad is this idea?

I have been on Avastin and daily Lovenox shots since May when I had two small clots in my right lung. My onc. said that I will be on them for the rest of my life because he has been burned too many times when people got off of the blood thinners. I have had no side effects as of yet, BP is perfect s...

2 vs 3week maint. 5FU?

I have been on 5FU and Avastin as maintenance for 6 months now with nothing new popping up. However, I also have been having a fissure for 6 months. Re: Rest in Peace Carmen

RIP Carm. I was lucky enough to consult with her over the phone before I went to London for laser surgery. She was so kind and helpful. Thank you Carm!

Just like RFA except they freeze the lesion instead of heating it up. MDA seems to like this mire than RFA bc it causes less inflammation afterwards and may have an anti-recurrance effect.

Cryoablations went well! Going home in the AM!

Both cryoablations went off without a glitch, no chest tubes or pain! Hopefully it stays that way! If so, I'll go home in the morning! Thanks for all the good thoughts!

Cimetidine and Cryoablation?

Should I take Cimetidine before and after a cryoablation? I know what it indicated for surgery but does this qualify as a surgery?

Thanks in advance!
