Re: 3 Month all clear... Still left almost crying... ???

I don't post often anymore but read numerous times a day. I'm still not used to the new normal after 3 years. Oh, where to begin. Lost my job of 16 years in January that I believe is due to this effin cancer. Finally got a new one after three months. In a meeting the other day, we were talking about...

Bev,
This really does suck and I'm down here in Jersey too saying prayers and swinging those chickens so hard their feet are coming off.

Re: Help! Bleeding on tissue is a cause of colon cancer?

You are worried and I believe the chances are quite low you have CRC. Itching is more like hemirhoids but I am no doctor. Didn't even spell hemmis right.. Stay away from Dr. Google as everything on there leads to cancer and just go see your real doctor with a degree and put your mind at ease. Good l...

Re: Sure in hell hope not Update3/13

Scheduled for the scope Monday so prepping Sunday. Not too bad on the scan. All the crap around the liver never changed and nobody has been worried about that. Left adrenal gland is enlarged and my blood work concerning that is messed up. Not sure what all this means but I'm betting damage from chem...

Re: Caregiver - What do I do?

You really canot change a person. They have to want to change. To her, it probably sounds like reverse nagging and I know what that is like. I quit smoking for 7 months whilst undergoing chemo and then resumed after returning to work. Just the mentions from my wife about smoking, soda, or iced te, m...

Sure in hell hope not

Don't post too much anymore but I read 3-4 times a day. My wife yells at me all the time for lurking. She says, "get on with your life and get over it". She just doesn't get it. You guys got me through my first round and part of the reason I am here today. Survivors guilt? Hell ya! But now...

Re: honest q, you don't have to answer

Had a whole post and someone, else was posting at the same time and lost it. Not much of a drinker but may start as I lost my job of 16 years the other day. No benefits for my family and I cannot justify $8 a day to kill myself with the cigarettes anymore. I did quit for 7.5 months when I was origina...

Re: O/T - anyone know of a lymphoma internet support group?

cancerforums.net has a good, active lymphoma board. There's one guy on there, one of the mods, who lives by you. He is on his third clinical trial and has been in remission all previous times. His Cancer just keeps mutating.
Good luck,

Re: Pain management

Is she seeing a pain management doctor. Some doctors really suck at providing adequate relief. Low dose fentanyl patches may help as they slowly release the medicine without the euphoric high that comes with most opiates.
Good luck,

Re: Excessive Gas

Antibiotics are well known to be a great cause of C-Diff. Have you been tested for that. I had it three times during my diagnosis process. It causes diahreea also along with what my GI doc Allen the diff whiff. That extremely foul smelling gas. The cure is more antibiotics but a different form. Good...
