Scope today 2 years out

DH had colonoscopy today after uneventful prep. Dr found 1 3mm polyp in his descending colon, so another scope will be done next year. Glad the dr wanted to see him after 1 year instead of 3. The port is scheduled to come out mon. So our journey is moving forward in a way I never imagined 2 years ag...

Re: Surgeon says stage II Oncologist stage III

This happened to my DH too...pathology and surgeon say stage 3, oncologist says 4. For DH, it ultimately allowed for more frequent scans. Re: There are people here who need urgent psych help,

My impression is that this forum has different meaning for different people. When DH 1st dx,I was on constantly and felt I could ask, share whatever I needed to. I always felt grateful for any advice. Now that he is further along in journey, I often skip a day or 2 without even thinking about it. As...

Re: Siblings sharing cancer

DH dr is a health nut, all about healthy eating, life style, prevention. We asked her 2 wednesdays ago, at appt, if there was a link between their cancers. She spoke at length about smoking, and with much compassion. She said only 10% of smokers get lung cancer and said how absolutely addictive nici...

Bittersweet good news as brother dx terminal lung cancer

Well my title sums it up. DH had very good scans and will meet with surgeon to schedule port removal dec 15. Only thing, in past 6 months CEA was 2.9, 3.2, now 3.8. Dr not worried at all, but I am.
