Re: My mind is reeling, please help me slow it down.

Janie, that's what I'm getting, an APR (Barbie butt) not LAR. I knew that, butt I'm not thinking clearly. My cr surgeon is planning to use the da vinci robot if he can. Thank you for your responses, they really are helping me to calm down. I probably should supplement the good advice with the zoloft...

I can't quite believe this yet, but yesterday my husband told me he's been undergoing testing for lung cancer. Seriously? While I was hospitalized for 11 days with radiation enteritis and severe dehydration following 28 treatments of chemo and radiation, he had a scan done on what he thought was a h...

radiation enteritus

I completed 25 days of oral xeloda and 28 radiation treatments on 03/04, with some complications. I developed violent, horrible diarrhea and became severely dehydrated. I received fluids through IV drip, 2 litres over 4 hours, for 9 days as outpatient. I wasn't getting better, so I was admitted into...

Re: what to do besides nap?

this weekend I've watched 6 movies, one after another. It helped to not think about myself too much or dwell on another week ahead of chemo/radiation.

Re: Bad habbits are hard to break

I smoked off and on, mostly on, for about 40 years, but the instant I heard I have cancer, I completely lost my desire for a cigarette. However, it's Nicorettes for life now. I also have a vape, but I prefer the 4mg Nicorettes and they work for me. I hope you can put the cigarettes away because we n...

Re: Discussions about Death

I was diagnosed with stage 2 rectal cancer 12/17/14. For a quick moment I doubted God had a good plan for my life, after all. I quickly let that emotion skip through my mind and settled on what I know to be true. God is Love. The outpouring of love and compassion I have received since my diagnosis h...
