Re: Doctors giving patients cancer diagnosis

During my colonoscopy (I was awake) I saw a small "bleeding" polyp in the sigmoid. The colon-rectal surgeon took a biopsy and it came back as benign!! However, because it was bleeding he decided that he better go in and "take a better look, and get rid of the supposed pre-cancerous po...

Re: Well, NOW's a fine time to tell us....

I pushed my kids to go for a colonoscopy. My son finally made an appointment with a colon rectal "specialist" because he was having bleeding. The specialist blushed him off and said "come back when your are fifty" and I will do a colonoscopy then. I'm so mad I'm spitting bullets ...

Re: colonoscopy prep....advice needed!

After Folfox my creatinine level went to 118 which is considered mild kidney disease, and I was told not to take contrast for CT scan. My last blood work showed that my creatinine has gone up considerably and is now at 188. I am waiting for a consult with a kidney specialist, unfortunately in Canada...

Re: tumeric against colorectal cancer link

Pam: good luck with the tumeric. I tried it but it made me really sick to my stomach. This was a very strange reaction because I love curry and have no problems with eating it. It just seems to be the pill/capsule form that does the number on my digestive system. Give it a go.....hope it works for y...

Re: Radiation or not post surgery

I had radiation àfter` surgery. My case was ùnusual..during my colonoscopy a `polyp`was bleeding and the biopsy came back as benign. Colon rectal surgeon decided that he didn`t want to take a risk and performed a LAR. Thank god he did because it turned out that I had a T3N1MO. Surgeon was surprised ...

Re: CT scans are good

Karin: NO Oncologists are not Hemotologists. The doctor who is supposed to be looking after my CLL is an Hemotology+Oncologist specialist. Let me explain about CLL...it can be a very slow growing form of Leukemia (sometimes it can even be indolent). However some cases take on a form which is fast mo...
