Re: TAS 102

My husband was all signed up to start the trial and had completed all the screening tests, and then it suddenly became FDA approved two days before he got the drug. So his oncologist at U of M said we would now need to get it commercially since he hadn't officially started the medication. But after ...

Re: Genetic mutations on tumors

Thanks so much for the information James! I guess one other question I have relates to what the term "highly mutated" tumor really means. When my husband had the Foundation One testing done, it was his primary colon tumor that was analyzed. The report showed 9 different genetic mutations, ...

Genetic mutations on tumors

My husband was just denied entry into a very large national clinical trial called the MATCH trial. We were told that his tumor mutations on his primary tumor don't "match" the ones they are currently looking for. They got the mutation information from the Foundation One testing that we had...

Re: Preliminary Clinical Trial Data for "Xilonix" - Currently in Phase 3 Trials for mCRC

Daniel, may I ask what location you are at to be in the trial?

We look forward to hearing more about your clinical trial journey. My husband and I are actively looking for a clinical trial for him to get into since chemo is no longer working for him.

Thanks,
Cindie

Re: Chemo Not Working Again-What next?

Thank you for responding, DH2Sleen. Unfortunately, he tried to get unto that trial but he was denied. We had a research nurse at NIH that communicated poorly and kept getting things mixed up. I had to keep calling and pushing to find out what progress was being made in the process. Finally, on one o...

You do such a good job of explaining complex medical information. Wish some of the trial sites were closer to Michigan!

Chemo Not Working Again-What next?

Monday we received the news from our Onc. that the PET/CT my DH had last week shows disease progression in the liver and the lungs, so his latest treatment regimen of FOLFIRI and Avastin has been stopped. He has suggested 3 other possible future plans of treatment: 1) Start Stivarga. (He has not had...
