Re: Nerves setting in...

I just wanted to update everyone. I had my 2nd colonoscopy done this past Friday. So glad it's over, I really dislike the prep. I mixed my movi-prep with Gatorade this time though instead of water, and I didn't feel as weak & depleted that way. Fortunately, it was all clear. When I woke up the n...

Re: Sessile Serrated Polyposis

I understand your worries... I am 36/F. I had a colonoscopy in Dec. 2014 due to seeing blood/mucous in stool on & off for a couple of years (which I thought were hemorrhoids from childbirth). My GI doctor found a 12 mm tubulovillous adenoma in my sigmoid colon during the colonscopy, & hemorr...

Re: Kenny is gone

So sorry to hear of his passing. I didn't know him personally, but I have been hanging out here on & off the last 2 years. He was definitely and interesting guy! I enjoyed reading his posts. He also had the most interesting profile pictures I believe I've ever seen.

Nerves setting in...

I'm 36/F. I am scheduled for my colonoscopy this month on the 21st, and I'm already getting nervous.... :| I had one in December 2014 where my doctor found a benign tubulovillous adenoma. It was 12 mm. He is a great GI doctor, nice bedside manner, did great with my last scope. I did have a little bl...

Thanks for your replies... Where my polyp was 12 mm, just nervous about the follow up colonoscopy... Definitely praying it's clear.... Was just wondering what others experiences were... :)

Do the benign polyps come back?

I'm 36/F. I'm due for a follow up colonoscopy next month. I had a 12 mm tubulovillous adenoma (benign) removed from my sigmoid colon in Dec. 2014. My GI doctor said it didn't have dysplasia, and the path report didn't mention it either. He said he completely removed it via polypectomy. I was just wo...

Re: Diverticulosis on colonoscopy?

I am 36/f. I was diagnosed with a benign tubulovillous adenoma and diverticulosis during my colonoscopy in 2014. My GI doctor said diverticulosis was a benign condition. He said they are "saclike protrusions that resemble a pocket or outpouching of the colon," and basically an incidental f...

Re: Biopsy of tissue after endoscopic mucosal resection

My radiologist friend thought I was smart when I cited "research" suggesting that the "pathways" from tubular to adenocarcinoma is "unknown". So yes I think tubular is the friendliest, then the hybrid, then the villous and then the bad stuff. But the mechanism of chang...

Re: Biopsy of tissue after endoscopic mucosal resection

Thanks so much Darkness embraced. I hope all of your upcoming visits and tests are benign as well. I have read a lot on these adenoma polyps but still get confused. Is a villous adenoma more serious than a tubulovillous? Mine was tubulovillous pedunculated. Also, do all of these polyps start out tub...
