Re: Anyone dealt with blood clots in the lungs?

My Dad had Pulmonary Embolisms over Xmas. On the daily jabs but didn't intervere with the chemo. Quite scarey when happens but thankfullly picked up, before caused serious harm. I know it can feel a bit unexpected....another bump in the journey.

Dad update

Well lastest for us: Dad had scan last week. Good news lymph nodes in chest etc were all stable and no new growth. Not so good was primary tumour slight growth. We were initially told surgery for primary not an option due to extent of metatastic spread in nodes and palliative chemo best option. Well...

Re: Hi from a newbie.

Grandfather in his 70's when diagnosed. My Dad was 57. Surgeon who did colonoscopy said with size of tumour/advancement it could have been growing for 7 years. Thought that surprising. I hadn't had much concern for own health untill reading other young ppl being effected so def something for me to c...

Re: Hi from a newbie.

Thank you for the warm welcome. Lep I am sorry to hear of your recent diagnosis. Doesn't matter what age or stage in life Cancer is a ugly thing, but my Dad says he finds it so upsetting and humbling meeting younger ppl having chemo, especially with young families. I hope you can get support on this...

Hi from a newbie.

Hi, I have been lurking since my Dad was diagnosed Sept 14. My grandfather passed away 2 years ago, bowel cancer. My Dads prognosis was pretty grim when first diagnosed - tumour + lymph nodes through chest unable to operate. Commenced chemo straight away. Average prognosis 10-12 months to live. Havi...
