Re: My recent significant CEA jump.

Thanks radnyc. Yes, things have been real tough for me for a while. Another stress I left out was I changed jobs twice during this crazy CEA period. Something I forgot to mention which popped up on my 4 recent CT scans was a lesion in my liver. It was classed as a granuloma. It first appeared when m...

My recent significant CEA jump.

I've been reading through recent threads about CEA increases people have experienced. I waited to say anything as I was waiting on going through the entire gamut of tests. I also felt it would be good to have my own thread dedicated to this. If you do a search on here, a while ago I put up a thread ...

Re: Take me away to that special place - Picture Thread

Thank you stu. Yes, lots for me to process. Some times I wonder how I'm still standing with all the stress. I'm pretty sure I've posted these on here in a different thread but since this one is more recent, I'll put them here too: https://live.staticflickr.com/1859/42707273810_a9861924a1_z.jpg https...

Re: Any prepping and scoping buddies out there ?

Had my 2 year scope a couple of weeks ago. I didn't read the instructions carefully and went past the time where I should have been on the liquid diet. Thought I was all sorts of screwed. Especially since, things didn't seem to go "clear" till a few hours before the procedure. I thought fo...

Re: Take me away to that special place - Picture Thread

Haven't been posting much and lurk here off and on. I've taken up being a photobug to escape the messes going on with my life (ie divorce and health issues). But here are some samplings of pics I've taken at various locations to escape for a little bit. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/4881229305...

Re: Any riders out there?

Hi, Yes another rider here. I also ride sportbikes. My two street bikes are a 2009 Ducati 848 and a 2004 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R. I don't remember how much riding/if any I did during treatment. But I do know I did go out to an annual track school event I had been doing for years prior to my diagnosis....

Re: CEA and it’s anxiety

I've been posting much lately and only read the boards from time to time. I figure I would post up my situation with CEA. When I was diagnosed in Dec. of 2012, my CEA was 13.9 from what I recall. I was Stage 3b with one lymph node involved (T3N1). Went through 12 rounds of chemo and on the other sid...

Re: Test results

Not to add to your anxiety, but unfortunately, normal chemo delivery is not effective on peri mets. The reason is the nature of how blood flows in that area. As others have mentioned, HIPEC is the usual recommended treatment for peri mets. I don't know where you are but Dr. Sugarbaker in Baltimore, ...

Re: O/T...Post Your Pics Here

Thank you BS and Peanut. I'm glad you like my pics. It's been my escape from a pretty sad reality. Soccermom, yes the bridge is in Delaware. Next to Seashore Park. Froze my rear end off waiting for it to get dark and for the all those lights on the bridge to fire up. On the way up Coastal Highway, I...

Re: Fathering to a healthy baby after chemoradiation?

I don't know your relationship and it appears you have a very good marriage. But in my opinion, you need to focus on how life will be very different after cancer. Adding another stress factor to it with a new child is playing with fire. I won't get into details, but I can say cancer and having a new...

Re: O/T...Post Your Pics Here

Thank you BS. Here are the best pictures of the weekend. Very pleased at how well the last closer up shot of the bridge came out. It was a real challenge getting the pictures to come out without all the digital noise indicative of low light digital photography. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1965/45...
