Re: It Just NEVER Ends !

Thanks for all the prayers and good vibes.

Surgery was late Fri night, Sat was painful but when I called they were just ramping up her pain meds. No report on exact staging etc. Just happy she is through the surgery.

Cheers

Re: Question about colonoscopy results

I had my colonoscopy yesterday. ...why would they take a biopsy?..... because I have rectal bleeding is why. Would they tell me if they saw something suspicious/cancer like? ask them after they get the biopsy results back. More is missed for not looking than not knowing...they are just looking furt...

Re: Contact with our animals

she seems to act goofy. Of course.... she is a Chi !!!! only kidding, I love these little guys. What she may be reacting to, can be odors from the chemo, or the way your body is changing in response to chemo, OR to your emotional state ??? all known to happen, and all possible as opposed to actual ...

Re: Contact with our animals

Just a quick comment here from a vet : I agree, peeing on children and pets is not recommended ! ( still laughing over that one ) Gaelen has given you the essentials of the answer, and also possibly a contact with any local Vet Oncology specialists who may actually be using some variation of chemo i...

You know you've had a lot of medical appts

When the clinic you used to work at was 6 blocks from the Cancer Clinic, and instead of going to work you ended up turning onto the road leading to the Cancer Clinic !!!

Too many appointments AND chemo brain ! Yup really happened.

Re: How to stay positive

I just posted about my elderly aunt with newly diagnosed CRC. Within about a half hour I received a half dozen replies, all from folks dealing with their own major issues, but wanting to reach out to someone they don't even know yet ! I can stay very positive by reading messages and being in touch w...

It Just NEVER Ends !

Another CRguy rant I am afraid. Just got off the phone with my parents, my dearest auntie is going under the knife tomorrow for ....CRC.... she has emphysema, is 82 and doesn't need this s**t...well none of us do, but it is worse when a loved one suffers, than when we do. Your mileage may vary. I wi...

Re: Great trip but home and in hospital

Very happy for you both, to be able to spend time with family. Very important.
Not happy for the post trip problems, but as everyone has said, you are both very brave warriors and inspire us all with your resolve.

Best wishes and prayers.

Cheers

Re: Off to CT Land

My scan was at 9 a.m. and they got me right in - rushed me through it quickly. Home by 9:45 - been running to the bathroom ever since. I had to go a couple of times at the cancer center, but managed. Thank heavens for this board. Otherwise I wouldn't have known about the "heads up - diahhrea!&...

He had never mentioned it before and I don't know what brought it back into his mind. What a memory. It was really spooky and shocking.....from that day on his world changed too, Mama was sick. Just when I am trying to adapt, the severity of it all makes me feel panic and desperation in the pit of ...

Re: CT Scan Results - enlarged spleen

Haven't digested all the other posts BUT when I saw DOGS !!....... The spleen is kind of a blood filter and reservoir for red and white cells. We (veterinarians) use certain anesthetics, that engorge the spleen. Totally normal. If lab tests show "too many red blood cells" sometimes the com...
