I have not slept through the night since I have had an ostomy, last May, even taking sleeping pills and pain meds. It is getting to the ...

I have a stoma, ileostomy, and when I received my initial in hospital care instructions they explained to me that I have two openings. THe main opening on the stoma and then when I lift my stoma up there is an opening that really is not part of the main stoma. I was told that it was part of the whol...

About Sunlight

One good thing about living in Arizona....sunlight. A friend is staying with me for about a month and yesterday she dragged me outside and said I needed to be in the sun, if only for 20 minutes. I have been sick this week, on top of the cancer, I have a nasty cold. But being out in the sun for those...

Re:Fleet phospho soda survey

Have them try it with Sprite. Fleets soda has a lemon taste like Sprite does and it masks the taste.

Good luck to them!

Hi Kelly! Yes I have had surgery, two of them. You can read my journey on my website: http://www.runlizrun.com/journey.htm I have been through the ringer so to say! :) I have been through two other types of Chemo and radiation prior to surgery. Bleeding

I have become my own expert about my ostomy. I am not sure how much medical support you all get, but I have found it is very difficult to get here in Arizona. I have home health care, but getting an ostomy specialist is hard and it seems only my surgeon knows about ostomies. I have made many calls t...

Re: Is chemo the best thing?...Alternatives

Hi Tia! I am new posting here and am post resection and tumor removal. They want to do a "mop up" Chemo like what you are doing. I am Stage 2-3, unsure because my nodes were radiated and were clear, but unsure if they were clear prior to radiation. Are you also post tumor removal? I read a story of ...

Massages

I just spent 16 days in the hospital in Arizona and I am here to tell you massage is fine. The hospital I was at in Arizona even has free massages for their cancer patients, and aromatherapy is at a reduced price and I did both. I had a massage before surgery and I could lay on my stomach, and now I...

Newbie

I love this website and I now have a new goal, to be a "Colander Girl!" Perhaps 2008??? Here is my story! I was released from the hospital Friday, May 19th, after 16 days........I knew something was wrong first part of April and started seeing doctors, no one could figure out why I was "leaking" out...
