Clear colonoscopy...I go every 3 years now!

This seems like such a milestone and one I'm so grateful to have reached!! I will be cancer free for an entire year at the end of this month. I have another CT/labs at the beginning of September. I'm fine with going every 3 months, I like my oncologist a lot.

Hope you are all doing well!

Re: Prep for colonoscopy

I just picked up my suprep last night, even with insurance and a coupon it was $90. Wtf? My dosage insurrection boil down to 14 hours apart. I'm going to have to take both doses on Sunday, instead of Sunday afternoon, Monday morning. I have a two hour drive to the hospital and the scope is at 1000. ...

Re: colonoscopy without anesthesia

I had my very first colonoscopy while I was wide awake, zero drugs. I watched as they rounded the corner in to my sigmoid and found my primary tumor. 0/10 would not do again. I was pregnant at the time, so drugs weren't an option. About to do another one on Monday, yearly follow up. Will be my...

I have zero experience with any of those choices, but it seems like #2 would be the way to go? I am imagining that thing that they put in cows for bloat....

Hope things get better for yall soon!

Re: Another clear CT, again!

Thanks yall! Just got back from seeing the oncologist and surgeon, everything is just fine! Labs look fantastic, CEA is stable at 2.2.

Colonoscopy will be at the end of July or beginning of August and I don't get another CT until September.

I'm digging this surveillance protocol.

Another clear CT, again!

Results came in Friday night to mychart. No evidence of recurrence. I love having all my insides described as unremarkable. Labs and appointment on Wednesday, not expecting anything out of the ordinary there. I'm almost 6 full months out from my last treatment. Hair has grown back, most of the...

Gawd. You've had to deal with so much!

How are other things in your life going? Are you guys all stuck in the house? Rationing toilet paper?

Hang in there.

I really like my new oncologist!

Met him today, he's simply lovely. I liked him even more when he told me my CEA was 1.5  That's a new low! See him again in 3 months. He said he likes to see everyone on a 3 month schedule for the first two years, then every six months for two years. He estimated I'd live to see 75. I'm...

Re: Another clear CT!

That’s so awesome, congrats! Were you nervous leading up to it?? Thanks yall! No, I honestly had zero worries about this scan. I figured if anything showed up, there were two things I could do about it: Jack and Shit. I feel great. It's simply a privilege to be walking around upright and I'm ...

Shit. This was supposed to be an all clear update! I know you have to be freaking the hell out right now. I have absolutley no experience with what you're having to deal with, and I have no idea if that qualities as a significant growth or something that's still under control that can be shrunk with...
