Re: Something mentioned in my scan

Scans do pick up everything and some radiologists mention more than others. Unless the radiologist recommends a follow up or further testing I try not to worry. I know it's easier said than done. Glad the rest of it was clear, Susie! Ann Thanks Ann. I will work on relaxing until the next scan. Lol

Re: Pain near belly button -- umbilical hernia?

I have a small hernia in the same place. It doesn't hurt much but times it bulges slightly and I can push it back in. My surgeon looks at it each visit and doesn't want to do surgery unless necessary. If it causes me severe pain or I can't push back in he says He can repair it. He told me to be sure...

Thank you Lee. I have to try not to over think and look for trouble. I know scans pick up so many little things.

Something mentioned in my scan

I had a ct scan of pelvis and abdomen, and it said no evidence of metastatic disease in pelvis and abdomen. This is awesome but there was the mention of "stable mildly thickened left adrenal gland". I assume stable means no change from last scan even though last scan didn't mention any thic...

Re: I am now five years cancer free after my lung recurrence

This is awesome news. I just received news of a clear ct scan today as well. Your story makes me feel positive. Last May a 4mm nodule was seen on my scan, and a 3 month repeat showed no change. I'm hoping it will stay stable in my January scan, but it helps me to know that even if it ends up being s...

Re: Scan tomorrow

Finally got scan results. No evidence of metastatic disease in the abdomen or pelvis. Hopefully, repeat chest scan in January will show the same.
Thubler and Benben hoping your results are positive as well.

Good Luck on Friday Benben. Praying for NED. I understand the anxiety. My results are taking longer than usual so I'm becoming a little anxious all over again.

Re: Scan tomorrow

Hope yours was good yesterday! Haven't gotten the results yet. The last couple scans have taken a couple days to post results. I used to get them the same day when I was first diagnosed. I'll probably get them by tomorrow morning. I'll keep you updated. Thubler I hope your scan was clear as well. T...

Re: Age 30 (M) Recently Diagnosed, Family History

I'm so sorry you are dealing with this at such a young age. I had rectal cancer about 5 cm from anal verge. I did chemo/radiation for 5 weeks and had complete response. Only scar tissue remained. Surgeon suggested I may not need chemo after surgery depending on pathology report. Path report showed m...
