Re: mosquito bites and chemo

If chemo won't kill mosquitoes as they only take a tiny bit of our blood -- wonder what will happened to bed bugs since they suck in much more. Food for thoughts

Re: Should i have chemo for colon cancer at T3N0M0?

Hi Polarprincess and Astephen333 : I believe the correct url is this http://www.mskcc.org/mskcc/html/5794.cfm, just click on "colorectal cancer". However, this calculator seems more skew towards those not doing chemo, i run a few test and it seems (at least for T3 N0 M0) having post- op ch...

Re: Should i have chemo for colon cancer at T3N0M0?

Thanks Eric and chessamay :D

Hi JustPeachy, i agree that it is on the high side -- but maybe it is due to my high pre-op CEA. May i know what is your pre-op CEA. Thanks

Re: Should i have chemo for colon cancer at T3N0M0?

Harlow All, Thanks for all the invaluable comments and thoughts, I will be starting chemo this coming Monday with Xeloda (3000mg per day). The main reason for doing the chemo is that my post-op CEA is at 7.6, which is on the high side. Hopefully, i will be able to tolerate Xeloda well :) Regards Aug...

Re: CEA

Hi,

My CEA was 56 but it turns out to be Stage 2, as such CEA is not really a good marker for staging.

Re: Should i have chemo for colon cancer at T3N0M0?

Hi Thanks Ashlee, i am from Singapore -- a tiny island in south east asia :). I have check with my local pharmacy and they do have them. Chessamay : Yeap, my pre-op CEA is 56 (August 2011) while my post-op CEA will be out this Friday. I also had my tumor marker (CEA) done in April 2010 as part of my...

Re: Should i have chemo for colon cancer at T3N0M0?

Dear All, Many thanks for your response. One general question: My pre-ops CEA is quite high (56) and my tumor is large (11cm by 5cm). Are these pushed factors to have chemo. Hi Lee F : Great to hear that you are able to carry on working while on Xeloda. Hopefully, I would encounter minimum side-effe...

Re: Should i have chemo for colon cancer at T3N0M0?

However, i have come across a recent journal paper which put the difference as 7%. Below url is the abstract http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/ar...
