Re: So……….I Have A First Date Tomorrow

Hey bud, Like Rock - I'm married to the most wonderful woman. I like his steps, maybe more steps, like after 2-3 dates, then discuss? I wouldn't rush into it, just enjoy life, if you are perfectly healthy, can get a boner, just enjoy your life my friend. If you can kindle a relationship from this pe...

Re: Tough decision - your input welcome!

Claudine, I think you know my story fairly well. But 1 year after ileo reversal it was just to much to manage for me. I would find myself going to the toilet way to much even, with Metamucil and all the other things, between clustering (going to the bathroom to poo, every 5-10 minutes), not able to ...

Re: Stoma Size

it actually never happened to me until this 3rd stoma surgery. The last 2 stomas I had never grew bigger or smaller, usually just stayed the same. This is kind of nerve racking to see it big and fat and protrudes our more then normal, but it goes back down as well, either when I am lying down, it ju...

My first thought is you might want to be mindful of dehydration.
Dehydration pulls the water out of the colon and causes inflammation/irritation.

Oh no I am not dehydrated I drink a lot of water LOL...Thanks Beach!!

Re: Stoma Size

I don't have a stoma (yet?) but during stoma teach i was told that at first it will do that and then as things heal, it will get smaller and more manageable. They did tell me to cut the hole to size in the first few weeks and then it'll be stable when it heals. Hope someone more knowledgeable can p...

Stoma Size

Hello Everyone, Ever since I got this new stoma (ileostomy) I noticed it gets big and fat sometimes and then super small LOL. It's crazy. Freaks me out when its big, doesn't seem prolapse, maybe a little, but not a big deal. It really causes stress when I have to figure out bag size to adjust so whe...

Re: CEA Uptick From 3.3 to 3.4……..Any Cause For Alarm?

I am still trying to wrap my head around your cancer situation. It says in your signature your Stage 3 which is still highly curable with SOC. I never heard of SBRT in the rectum and you already had radiation in the rectum from your signature, radiation is not or doesn't seem like at option for me s...

Re: CEA Uptick From 3.3 to 3.4……..Any Cause For Alarm?

I understand where your coming from, but did your doctors specifically tell you that SOC treatments wouldn't cure you? It's always a chance that something won't work, in my case that was the situation. I did however make the mistake of not doing surgery after chemo and radiation and I thought I was ...

Re: CEA Uptick From 3.3 to 3.4……..Any Cause For Alarm?

My CEA is 68 fluctuated from around your number and up all the time. Usually anytime it starts going up there is activity, but scans is more important then CEA and at your number its not an issue typically. Are you on any type of chemo? You should go on maintenance chemo if your cancer is not curabl...
