Re: 2014 member update -- for all of us--please post!

Monkey ME here :) I am good. My last scans (november 2014) were good. This time last year was NOT good. Is there anything that can be done to treat neuropathy? My left foot is very bad. Nine months since ending chemo and it's getting worse instead of better. I fell the other day. It feels like my to...

Re: I cancelled my surgery today...

listen to your gut... (also certified colorectal surgeon) when I had my double mastectomy I knew (in my gut) that my plastics surgeon was NOT the right way to go but my breast surgeon talked me into it. HE BUTCHERED ME. it took 7 additional surgeries to fix his mistakes. when I had my rectal surgery...

Re: O/T - Thyroid nodule

I recently had them biopsies (2 months ago), and again, they are B9. I started off with one big on the r...

Re: My update

Hi Kim, thanks for sharing your intense, true self. I never heard of PPE ...damn, clearly YOU want to live. I also had a complete clinical response and wanted to eliminate the surgery but in the end, I needed to know if it was real (complete pathological response). I don't think it changes your prog...

Re: Our beloved Ashlee has passed

the finality of death is difficult to digest. After my son died I was convinced I could turn back time. I was also convinced I could get him back. In an abstract way, this is truth - at least my truth. I go back in time a lot with memories that are at times so very real-time. And I know he is with m...

Re: Recurrence always in your mind?

I really try not too but yes, I do. I am hoping that the longer I am NED, the easier it will be (but I doubt it). This is not to say that I have stopped living. I smile more and laugh louder than before. I am truly happy. thoughts are so powerful. when fear leaks in I acknowledge it and then release...

Re: EXTRA OSTOMY SUPPLIES

ohhhhh GREAT information! Thanks Bobin. Kenny, the reversal is going GREAT! The surgery took about 3 hours but they also had to fix an incisional hernia. They did it without using mesh (I don't know why she didn't use it). Once I got out of the hospital I was fine. Got a nasty rash from the hospital...
