High blood pressure

I need some education please. I just had my 8th treatment of folfox with avastin. My blood pressure seems to be rising...152/102 last night. It did go back down on its own after I laid down. My onc office doesn't check my blood pressure but once a month. I'm thinking I might benefit from blood press...

Re: Night before chemo. Thinking of giving up...

Folfox with 5fu is really not that bad. If I played golf, I would still be able to on this regiment...unless it's winter.

Re: Oxiplatin and 5fu pump..... Last chance.

I have had 6.5 oxi treatments. They were not bad for me, the usual hand/foot neuropathy, jaw pain with first bite of food, and bad eye pain. These all get better or ease up after about 3 days. None are intolerable. I had an allergic reaction with round 7, which apparently happens to some people, and...

Re: how long for avastin to work?

I don't think it takes long, I had an amazing change in my scan with 6 infusions, went from nonmanageable to manageable! Onc was amazed with results.

Re: Still not a surgical candidate

Thanks bev, I'll talk to my onc about that. The surgeon now has me scared saying about immediate liver failure during surgery. Maybe a transplant surgeon could ease my mind. I don't want to die so soon! I'm not ready....I've got my first grandchild due in January! A little girl! I already love her l...

Re: People Do...

Thanks for the encouragement, didn't get good news from the surgeon today, from the meeting, I got in the back of my head I'm in more trouble than they want to say since the tumors are so close to the hepatic portal. But your post has snapped me out of that morbid thought. Thanks so much!

I forget I have a port in unle...
