Re: hydration issues, the sequel

Bev - Thank you so much for your response and insights from a patient's perspective. DH has never been sick in his life, and has a very positive, laid back personality. It's hard for him to find words that speak anything but positive, optimistic thoughts and I wonder if he just isn't able to tell me...

hydration issues, the sequel

I would love to have some feedback from caregivers as well as patients. I have previously posted about my DH's struggle with dehydration and extreme weakness during Chemo week (on folfox). Round 4 was really hard! Your responses were most helpful, and following your advice, af DH recieved IV fluid r...

I have no words to express how sorry I was to read your latest post. As one mom to another, be very certain that prayers are flying your way from Altanta. Lauren must be so relieved to hear your voice, and feel your touch right now.

Re: Can Anyone be my Surgery "Companion" in NYC on Monday 10

I just want to say that these posts warm my heart. I can only imagine the relief that Jack and Katies mom and dad must feel to know that someone is available to be her surgery companion during this procedure. My prayers are with all involved...patient, family members, doctors, and those of you who m...

Hydration issues

I have read many, many posts from those of you experienced in the management of chemo side effects, that hydration is key. My DH has just completed his 5th found of Folfox and faired a little better this time because we pre-arranged IV fluid replacement on Friday, following his disconnect from the p...

Re: Newcomer with question about dose of oxi

Thank you John and Willtowin for your replies, which are encouraging. This is obviously a tough drug to handle, and part of me wishes Mack
could just ditch it completely. But....well, you already know what I'm thinking. Blessings to you!

Newcomer with question about dose of oxi

I have been what the Colon Club refers to as a lurker, and have gained so much good insight from the forum. My DH has not, to my knowledge, googled or read one word about stage III colon cancer, but our personalities are quite different. The more I understand, the less frightened I am. He has the mo...
