Re: I CAN'T DO THIS

[quote="NWgirl"]I'm so sorry. If I were you I would feel the exact same way. There are times to be strong and there are times to let yourself fall apart and cry your eyes out. It's great if someone is there to hold you while you cry - but in a pinch, a nice fluffy pillow will do. "One...

Re: I CAN'T DO THIS

Hi Sue, I read your post and I was instantly compelled to reply to you. I know how you feel, I know. My husband was dx with stage IV in May 2009 at 45 years old, without any prior symptoms or warnings, and he quickly became worse and worse right before my eyes. He died this May 2010, almost a year a...

Re: John603 has passsed away

No. Oh no. My husband only posted here once or twice before his passing in May, but John was the one he referred to with me, the one he asked me about, one of the ones who always gave such help to him. John inspired Stephen, right up to the end. Linda, if you want to PM me, please do, at some point....

Re: Well, It's A Lung Met....

Eric, Anyone tell you lately how cool you are? I mean as in, you rock dude. :-) I remember hearing bad news about Stephen and wondering why the hell I felt relieved instead of more worried. I guess it's just having a direction, having a plan. The unknown sucks. This, you can tackle. My best thoughts...

Re: update john603

Hi Linda, My husband Stephen did not have a pain pump at home and I wish we had one. Stephen opted to use "home health care" and they wouldn't administer pain medication through a pump (only Hospice would) so we didn't even have that option. I remember having my 13-year old daughter make m...

Bev, good to hear the news and try not to worry about things you cannot control. September will be here before you know it and until then, enjoy the summer!

Re: I miss...

And this is why I come here; it is amazing to me that I can sit here with tears running down my face, first from Belle's post and then just reading everything else you guys wrote. There is a very unique brotherhood here - I have never experienced anything like it in my life. I do feel at home here. ...

Hi Jessica, Just wanted to pipe in here and say hello, and it's so good to see your post. 9%? That's all ya got? ;-) That's AWESOME Jessica...and what's really better is the way you're feeling and the fact that other things are looking better. Stephen's oncologist used to always tell him he put as m...

Nowadays, I sign onto this forum and see new faces and new names and feel so behind. I feel like I want to know each and every single "new person" here on this board, for many different reasons. I scrolled through the messages tonight and thought about how it is that we get new faces, new ...

So good to hear from you, my friend. Lots of folks here thinking about you, so if there is any healing power in the collective thoughts and prayers coming your way, you'll be feeling better shortly.

Me too. I remember when I first joined this board, and thinking how everyone was so close and caring and helpful here. You get so caught up in people's lives, not just their health, but everything. It stays with you throughout your days.

John603 and Linda?

Hey everyone, I'm just wondering how John is...does anyone know? I scanned the posts under his latest thread and couldn't find anything recent concerning his pain, and he's very much in my thoughts (as I know he is in so many other's). If I have missed something, please let me know. He's been on my ...

Re: Really Bad Scan Results

Hi Linda and John, John, I have been thinking about you so much, and my biggest hope is that your pain is resolved. Linda, my husband was diagnosed with Stage IV and died within a year (he passed away this May), and John was such a help to me during that time period. He gave me so many ideas, sugges...
