If I had one wish it would be that dam chemo made sure the cancer was gone and not just suppressed for a time..... Anyway I hate f**kin cancer and...

Insurance?

Hi Everyone, I know most of you are Americans so maybe you can help with this. My husband and daughter are American and I am a Kiwi (New Zealander). We are all currently living in New Zealand. I have health insurance here and the socialized system means even if I didn’t I would still get great care....

Re: The Trifecta: Colon Cancer, Young Parents, Young Kids

Hi Everyone, Just as you have all commented it is the thought that I will not be there to raise my daughter that crushes me. I'm not a young mum 36, my only daughter is four. She was born with a rare kidney disease. Normally the disease (ARPKD) kills the babies within the first day of life. I got lu...

Re: quick nausea meds question

I can't seem to find anything that will work for me. I must confess I will "smoke" a little to let the pills kick in. I'm not a fan of this but whatever it takes to get me through this. I watch a great movie called 50/50 when in the movie cancer patients start handing around special cookie...

Re: Just Diagnosed With Stage IV Colon Cancer

Sorry that you are here. I am 36 with one little girl. On my good days I do my best to have fun with her and make as many memories with her that I can.

Just wanted to say you are not alone.

Re: My go at a things people say that irritate me post

No chemo this week

Hi Everyone, My oncologist just called to say I wont be having chemo this week as planed. She said my white blood cell and red blood cell counts are too low. She called me a "cheap date." I am worried this will lessen the chances of the chemo working. Has anyone else been in this situation?

Alternative treatments

I though it might be good to start a topic on alternative treatments. I am all for the chemo and getting it done but I’m sure it’s not the only thing that can possibly help. If it is not hurting and it is not undoing what the chemo does…then why not try everything? I know then is often only anecdota...
