Re: New to this site and need some advise

It’s very rare for a polyp under 5mm to be cancerous. The flat kind of polyp you have often have a higher chance of developing cancer at some point but again also depends on size. I had a sigmoidoscopy and got a polyp removed then I waited about two months for my colonoscopy. Me GL wasn’t worried an...

Re: HUGE amounts of Watery Leakage 24 yrs old. SCARED

When you actually went to the emergency room, did the doctor make a finger exam of your rectum and prostate ?? People with prostate problems often also have bladder problems. This may sound stupid and I have no idea what a colonoscopy cost in the states, but is it a possibility to wish for some mone...

Re: 30 Years Old - Colonscopy w/ Polyps Found

I had A very similar experience, even though the outside could have been prettier the inside luckily only had the lowest grade of dysplasi. Congrats on catching it in time before it turned nasty :D I’m still debating with myself whether to fight for the genetic test. Sadly I suffer from anxiety that...

Re: 22 years old and scared to death

I find it strange that you were told you were too young and that colonoscopy can damage more in young people. My daughters had colonoscopies at 15 and 16 due to family history. I have never heard that excuse before.. Anyway, yes I am glad you are getting a colonoscopy it will ease your mind. Chance...

Re: 22 years old and scared to death

Thank you for your replies, they mean a lot to me. The healthcare in my country is a joke... Yesterday I went to the hospital, but the registration booth was closed so I went today. The nurse said that I'll need to wait for a doctor because my primary doctor wrote Urgent on the paper so I had to sp...

Re: 22 years old and scared to death

I can see the picture perfectly! It’s so great the hospital is taking it seriously and your getting the colonoscopy ASAP. I would guess it’s a bursted hemoried, because of the fresh red colour and the amount. I had a benign polyp and my blood was mixed with mucus on top of my stool. My friend once c...

Re: Bacteria found in colon cancer tumors - antibiotics?

Do any of you now if there are done any proper studies on the effect of probiotics and lactobacillus supplements?

I’ve started taking them after my polyp removal, my friend who works with medicine told me it’s money out of the window unless I have food poisoning. He is probably right

Re: Bacteria found in colon cancer tumors - antibiotics?

That’s pretty interesting because I just read multiple articles about a experiment that indicate teens and young people that used antibiotics over a 14 days period had a more significant growth of polys by a young age than others.. of cause only 10-20% Adeomas end up cancerous so both articles can h...

Hej Claudia min skandinaviske ven! I’m sure you’re gonna beat this, Norwegian Viking 8) I have a question, where you testet positive for lynch syndrome since they decided to clean out the downstairs apartment? Because you are under 50 you should be able to get a genetic test done, it would be a grea...

Re: sessile serrated adenoma with cytologic dysplasia

When i had my Polyp removed I was reading op on it afterwards especially how they grades them into “high risk/medium/low” and under high risk it always said polyps removed with piecemeal, i think it can be more difficult remove it completely with piecemeal, but at the same time the only way with som...

Re: No confirming diagnosis

I don’t quite understand, why did you have a cat scan in the first place? And where you diagnosed with colon cancer based of the biopsy of one lymph node? You said you had a colonoscopy also, did anything show at all or was it clean,

Re: New here - Nervous and worried.

Fingers crossed it’s a clean one! I’m sure it’s nothing serious, no matter what you get a clear answer now.

If it’s clean and you still having trouble try something called lactocare with the natural bacteria lactobacillus and try Psyllium husks!
