Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

We are absolutely here for you!!!! I have learned a lot as you can see from this thread - I still go through all the emotions. You must know this- stats are old. And include the old, those who refuse treatment ana those who die of something else. So those numbers will not help you. Join support grou...

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

I get so much hope with threads like these. It could seriously be me that's NED with no reoccurrence. It has to be someone, right? Yes it can be. And I feel like some handle this like a chronic illness. We have to be hopeful and sometimes put cancer in a box on a shelf. Keep doing all we can ...

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

Sorry, everyone for the delayed response. My scans and tests were clear so 2 years following surgery NED. My CEA was 0.9, which was new and some diverticulitis, but all the docs suggested I was doing quite well. No more colonoscopy follow ups for the next 5 years, which I find strange??? so will ge...

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

Hi all- I had my latest blood work and all seems well. Cea level is at 1.2 again and no anemia. Some pains every now and again in the liver, but hoping it’s nothing. I just made a friend with a an oncology/chemo pharmacist. She mentioned taking metformin and possibly oncoloplex. Anyone take these? ...

Re: Talk me down..CT results...

Breathe- cancer can make us nuts. I was told if a lymph node under the pit comes and goes, it’s nothing. I wouldn’t worry-if the dr isn’t worried, you shouldn’t be. Thank goodness though that these scans see everything even the minor stuff.

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

Okay, guys...here we go. It's my turn next week to get through my check-ups. It's been 2 years since surgery and just over 1.5 years since chemo ended. I feel great, no physical worries, but anxious none-the-less. You just never know with cancer! Please keep us posted!!! Hoping for a completely une...

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

When will you know the results of the last scan? I also had one on the 20th of August, light CAT to the chest and ecography to the liver. I will have a scope on the 4th of September and then get the answer. But I am not worried, if I am sick I will face it when it is real and not just a possibility...

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

I had a very rough day. PTSD at its finest. I had a scan today with bloodwork. No nurses at MSK so they decided to send anyone with a port to the chemo suites to get accessed. I was very upset- like panic attack upset. I went to the chemo suites crying and refused to sit in the reclining chemo chair...
