Re: possible mets to liver?

Please go for a Pet Scan not an ultrasound. Be Pushy-Nice as I call it and get that appointment (PET)
ASAP! If we would have waited until our original ONC got his act together I doubt Pete would be
in NEDSVILLE.

Re: New spot appeared on the liver

Pete had a PET Scan vs a Biopsy of his liver met. Dr K did not want a biopsy, the PET was good enough. Google Tumor-seeding after liver biopsy - read about seeding which every Dr views differently. We're glad we did not go the biopsy route. Dr D'Angelica told us that liver mets tend to come back if ...

Re: New spot appeared on the liver

Hi - Pete had stage three rectal cancer and a single liver met popped up 18 months later. Our local onc, who is no longer our Dr wanted to just rescect it and wait-and-see! No way I told Pete. We got in with Dr D'Angelica and Dr Kemeny at MSMCC (SLOAN) and life is now very good! He has had a few bum...

Re: D'Angelica and Paty for those that have had pump surgery

We concur with all about Dr D'Angelica and Dr Kemeny. Pete had both and is still seeing Dr K
every three months. He scanned yesterday, sees Dr K next week and hopefully she still has good news
for Pete! We recommend them 300%! We are hoping for good news for you!

Fight hard, seek-out more than one opinion and find a doctor/team that you trust. Pete will reach his 5 year anniversary in November. He is doing well --- living life, pract...

Re: Checking in.....STILL here, question for NED'ers

WE are VERY Grateful for Pete's NED status as well. However, he does have lingering problems everyday... The worst being the neuropathy in his feet. So, life yes, grateful yes but still lots of problems. He does however feel very lucky to be here and see our kids grow up! Hugs for all, Julie and Pet...

Re: CRC with one small liver met, low CEA

Hi -

We sought-out Dr Kemeny because we wanted Pete to be in the BEST position to be cured.
Our original ONC in CT only wanted to resect and wait and see ........We did not want that.
Crazylife - Just sent you a PM.
