Prior to Chemo, I had Raynauds in my hands and some very mild neuropathy in my feet. After my rounds of Xeloda it struck with a vengeance. I have somewhat severe neuropathy triggered by Xeloda.I seem to alternate between pain and numbness primarily in my feet. My hands seem somewhat less effected. I am a similar age and had 9 inches of my sigmoid colon removed. I had no lasting ill effects of the surgery due to the fact that I was in excellent health otherwise and not a surgical risk. If he is significantly overweight and has other issues that make him a surgical risk these need to be discuss...
