Re: Covid 19 vaccine

Bro Nut,

Nice to see your post. I understand the staff will be vaccinated, butt can the patients get the vaccine too? Around the same time?

I want the vaccine, the sooner the better.

Re: Diverticulitis or possible colon cancer?

Hi sorry for the reason you are here. Here is my story. Many years age, my mother ended up in the ER, serious stomach pain with lots of bleeding. Glad your DH is getting scoped, that will give a true diagnose, anything else is just a speculation. Anyway that being said, my mom was scoped, no cancer,...

Re: Stage IV colon cancer with BRAF mutation

I will be honest, I am not up on BRAF mutation. It was not something they tested for when I was going through treatment. Hopefully someone here who has that mutation can can give you a better answer. This is not medical advice as I am not an MD, butt I would stick with MSK. At least wait until after...

Re: Rectal bleeding(Maybe a tear or hemorrhoid)

DE: Thanks for understanding. I shouldn’t have assumed that you had the option to switch. Very American of me I guess. :? Will have to work on that . . . You hang around here long enough, you learn a few things. And DE is correct, you had no way of knowing. And you are not the first. I've done it a...

Re: Rectal bleeding(Maybe a tear or hemorrhoid)

I Beyond that, the apparent lack of responsiveness may suggest it’s time to breakup with these doctors. IMHO, it’s just not acceptable to get this kind of delay and non-responsiveness when you’re a cancer patient or survivor, even if it’s been a few years. A Don't know if you understand, DE lives i...

Re: Stage IV colon cancer with BRAF mutation

Hi and welcome, sorry for the reason you are here. MSK is probably the #1 hospital in the USA, if not the world. I would tend to listen to them, BUTT where did you get your 2nd opinion (what hospital?) & what "special drug" are they talking about? What chemo treatment is he currently o...

Re: Colostomy and Gas Pains

The only thing I will say about Pccr is reminds me of that one kid at school who is always by themself and doesn't know how to make friends. You are not sure what is going on in their head or home but shouldn't judge even though they are judging. Pccr will come around I believe because we are a gre...

Re: Is anyone else about 3 months post FolFox?

Yes, those 3 months follow up can be rough. The first 6-7 weeks, I'm okay. Butt the closer it gets to scans, Dr appoint, etc, yes it could get bad. Actually the first 3 month following chemo, guess I was okay. It was the next 3 month visit, that I did not sleep for 24 hrs following that visit. I was...

Re: Colostomy and Gas Pains

Thank you all so much I hang around because I didn't have something like this forum when I was diagnosed & going through treatment. Yes there were a few sites, butt limited. I would have probably lost it if not for certain friends who stepped up to my plate & became a major part of my suppor...

Re: Colostomy and Gas Pains

I wouldn't doubt that there is possible obstruction for the pain to be there, i am not running to doc for obstructions, i have enough of the doctors to be honest LOL...I feel like a human guinea pig. The gas usually follows if I don't poo for a day. It's been better, I am going to look into beano. ...

Re: Colostomy and Gas Pains

prayingforccr, at this point I think that everyone knows how you feel, and it is less than helpful to tell someone bravely soldiering on that you would RATHER BE DEAD than be them! Could I kindly request that you put a sock in it? Rickimaroo, I'm sorry that I have no experience to share with you. W...
