Re: Tammylayne, good luck with your surgery tomorrow!

Nausea is the worst and that sure is a boatload of staples. This is the last surgery you will need! I concur! Hope tomorrow you are able to eat a little better. Glad you've had a successful enema.
Hugs,

Glad the surgery is behind you! How has the non enema life been working? Hope to hear you are on the road to recovery.

Take care.

Re: Shrinkage

Good one BB. You can sing it from your garden. :D

Seriously, your news is great! Maybe the cancer is finally going to give up. I can't help but think the biking has something to do with it. I'm surprised the doctors aren't studying your blood.
Congratulations.

Re: Please Recommend a Fistula Surgeon (Recto-Vaginal)

Jane, my surgeon does not do those procedures. But the chief of the grouping Dr. Remzi is amazing. If I had anything tricky that needed done, I would go to him. My roommate up there had an amazing series of repairs for an issue and got her life back. She had had RC complicated by a fistula and faile...

Re: Please Recommend a Fistula Surgeon (Recto-Vaginal)

Hi! I don't know if you are anywhere near Ohio, but the colorectal surgery department at Cleveland Clinic is one of the best in the country. They often repair other doctor's mistakes, I learned when I was there.

Hope for a great outcome for you.

Re: Original Dx T3n1b RC, complete pathological response, which adjuvant chemo to do?

Hi! Congratulations on the complete response! I was in the exact position 4 years ago, same clinical staging and then complete response. My oncologist wanted me to take Folfox, surgeon said I needed no chemo. Following advice on here and a second opinion, I decided to take the Folfox. However, after...

Re: Needle biopsy?

I asked my oncologist about seeding also, and he said it is really rare. I also checked on the Grace Cancer sight because that is where a lot of good lung info is and they also say seeding is rare. I am having a nodule watched that looks more like lung cancer than a met, therefore, a biopsy would be...

Re: Totally O/T ... I guess

This sounds like my experiences as a preschool teacher. Allowing open-ended exploration (with some parameters) then expanding on it is the best! Kids are amazing and that is why I had the best job ever! I still love my volunteer time. Reading this makes my day. I can tell you get it, recognize their...

Re: My enema experience for LAR syndrome

I am one of the regular enema users on this board. Upon recommendation of my surgeon, I use the regular red enema bag with tubing and clamp. He recommended using a quart to quart and a half of warm tap water, every day for best results. Early on I tried the fleet bottles with water, there was never ...
