Re: random toilet thoughts

I too have had my share of numbness from too much time on the toilet. Years ago I bought a raised toilet seat at a yard sale. At the time my daughter just shrugged her shoulders and gave me "that look." Well, about six months ago my daughter said "where is the raised toilet seat?"...

Re: Living fully the possibilities: yet, how have so many of you managed after the death of a spouse?

I have never had to face the lose that many are faced with. Loosing a spouse or a child.....how do you do it??? My heart is filled with your courage and at the same time my heart is filled with sorrow at what you have to face. There is no running away from it. May God keep you in His care.

Re: Hey, wait a minute, world!

I wonder NO MORE how much time I have. I take the days as thy come. One of the things I learned from ca...

Re: Sensitive skin and radiation treatment

Some posters talked about "razor blade" days......Get really good and soft...soft....soft toilet paper. To this day I cannot use Scott TP. It's been over twelve years and Scott, for me, is like using a corn husk...not that I've ever actually used a corn husk...LOL.

Re: Your cancer sayings, etc

You guys are the greatest....you guys can find something sunny when faced with something that can be deadly.

My sayings are several....

Cancer taught me more than it took away.

There are people who would give everything they own if only they could have my worst day.

Re: How do you pull yourself out of the dark?

I have never heard of anyone who said "oh boy, cancer, chemo, radiation, surgery and then recovery and for the rest of my life I have to live with a bag attached to my stomach or I have to constantly see the scars." I think sometimes we just have to mourn for ourselves. and for me that's O...

Re: Can Any Good Come Out of Having Cancer

There are many things that I learned from having cancer. I now know there is a kind and gentle God and He loves me. I realize just how much my children would miss me and it makes me want to live as long as I can. I get to see things I am grateful for like my grandson turning 22 years old....he was 1...

Re: What about a Virtual Colonoscopy????

Apparently after my last colonoscopy at the time the doctor suggest I have the Virtual test next time. My regular PCP saw that and told me to schedule it. ....then....after I had it done and was at the PCP's office he said "With your history of cancer you never should have had a Virtual Colonos...

What about a Virtual Colonoscopy????

I had one last year. It was not a walk in the park, for me it was a little more painful that I thought it would be, and still had to do all the crappy prep and then...my Doctor told me I should have never had a Virtual, that I need to have a regular Colonoscopy right away.....what the hell. What is ...

I don't consider Immodium "meds." I'm twelve years out and still take Immodium not every day but usually every week. Ordinary people take Immodium.

Re: How is your sex life now

I have a thought...if it were not you but your spouse how would you feel about them. Would you want them to know you loved them no matter what. Before I got cancer I was "on and off' dating this one guy for a looong time. Because I hda a reversal I asked him how he would feel if I had to have t...
