Re: Totally O/T -- My Music Listening Habits

Yes. They are all at the top. This list and topic could go on forever! That's the beauty of music. Jimi is definitely an impact game changer musician. We listen to what we like and feel.

Re: Totally O/T -- My Music Listening Habits

I am a jazz musician. Charlie Parker, miles Davis are artists that were groundbreakers. They changed and set the bar during their careers. If you appreciate musicians that have that type of impact, I would recommend jaco pastorius, chick corea, Herbie hancock for some listening. Happy listening.

Re: To do what the docs suggest, or not?

I can't make that decision for you. I can only support it. And I would support without question the one you choose. Lets face it, there is no cure for cancer yet. We get poked, cut, infused and radiated in the hopes we respond positively. It's a guess as to which statistic we ultimately will belong ...

Re: Very Low RC experiences

I had a reconnect for a 9cm sized rectal tumor 5cm’s above anal verge. I always wear a pad for leakage. I can not hold a bowel movement. My colon is being tasked to act like a rectum. It is not doing that. Storage is minimal, and doesn't trigger a bm, until things start to backup into my colon. A me...

Re: Arghh! Radiation - the gift that keeps on giving!!

I stopped radiation , approximately five years ago. I began noticing that my left leg would fall asleep very easily and always was a little numb. I just chalked it up to one of my remaining neuropathy symptoms. As time progressed, I began to have the exact same symptoms as Jaynee. Yeah, it Hurts. I ...

Re: First blog post in a long time.

Well written thoughts. I have often recalled the old nursery rhyme. I recall laying in the hospital bed, after my resection, vividly contemplating what person will I become now?Acknowledging that cancer had forever changed my life. Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the...

Liver damage

I was doing ok. 5 years clear. Last month felt sick, like maybe the flu. It got worse. Went to ER. They admitted me to do some tests. Cat showed a brain lesion. I was in a room with my family. Went to bathroom and passed out. BP was low. Then started passing some bloody stool. Wel really just blood....

no one can can answer this for you. you will have to live with yourself and your own convictions. you have 2 choices here. stay or leave. I love him and don't plan to give him the boot,I also won't let him die desperate and alone in some hotel / everyone has their own personal definition of marriage...

Re: Repeat Colonoscopy, how often?

once a year for the first 5 years then a decision will be made for the following ones. it will be at least every 2 years. I have just had my 5th one and will discuss this in a few weeks with my onc. The gastroenterologist who has been doing mine told me next one in 2 years. The tests have never seen...

Re: Question about treatment for R/C

I went through the 25/5 radiation cycle before surgery. I was told it was to shrink the tumor prior to surgery. Nothing more nothing less. I was also told, i would not get any more radiation ever again, regardless of recurrance or not. At least i don’t recall any thing other than that. I was x-rayed...
