Re: Things we look forward to

I do look forward (crazy as it seems) to see at least DD learn to drive. When I was first diagnosed, I was told about three years. Well, she will be 16 then. The overall plan is to see both my kids (DS is 12) happy and living theirs own lives. But for now, DD's DL is my first goal.

Re: Things we look forward to

I'm the same way. We had our spring break trip to Orlando that we have been planning for months 2 weeks ago. Chemo schmemo - we had an amazing trip. As the week came to an end, I found myself crying and my husband was looking at me like dude, what is wrong with you. I told him I just had these over...

Re: Haircut story

Before all this hit the fan, I had hair down to my derriere. When it starting falling out, it was in random hairs. Lonely long pieces everywhere. So, I went in and had it cut to my shoulders. She only charged me for a bang trim, which I didn't expect.

Re: STIVARGA (Regorafenib) - ONGOING PATIENT EXPERIENCES

Went in for my Irenotecan today and talked about the effects of another drug that was added to it (Can't recall right now). My CEA had dropped 20 points before the Irenotecan, so I am back on Stivarga for another round. Here we do again.

regular illness delaying treatment

I have had a head cold for three weeks now. Had to delay the Irinotecan a few weeks ago, and tomorrow as well it seems. I am approved by new insurance to 20 visits for this referral and did not want to waste one if I am sent home due to having a bad cold. Last weeks treatment did knock me down for 8...

Re: STIVARGA (Regorafenib) - ONGOING PATIENT EXPERIENCES

Does your doctor revisit drugs in the past that worked on you. For me, folfiri worked and still does on my organs but not bones so stivarga will start soon. I've heard if you're off chemo for 6 months then you can re visit the previous one and it should work. My oncologist doesn't do that. Thanks A...

Re: Darn Cancer figured it out again

Thanks all. Dreading telling my kids. My daughter (15) still doesn't talk me about it much, but talks to DH, so I leave her be.
