Re: Long Time no See

So good to hear from you…and the wonderful blessings you've received. Your daughter is wonderful…but I'm a huge fan of babies and can't wait to have some grand babies myself. Thought between house and baby you were a busy man, but so glad you checked in and shared all that joy. Stay well and enjoy e...

Re: Wanted to share my hobby

WOW. I love sky photography. I also play with cameras and dark, night sky shots are my favorite type to take. My children gave me a telescope for Christmas and I can't seem to get the hang of it. My goal at that time was to work my way up to planets, my goal now is to work my way up to using it :) A...

Re: Medtronic Bowel Control Therapy

My MSK surgeon suggested I look into this when it was being tried on bowel incontinence. I entertained the thought, but in actuality the only thing that is 100% certain is a colostomy. I nixed it.

Re: My Scotty Boy has flown away ....

Not being an eloquent person, all I can add is it sounds that our ultimate passings should be as beautiful as Scott's. So hard for you DeAnn, but sharing here was a gift. May you find your feet, clear your head and one day have the peace to move forward without having to count the steps. Prayers for...

Great job Gwen. Another true and insightful blog story. I wonder if we are all in the "same room," because you just brought me back to my experience. Thanks for sharing.

Re: I am new here : rectal cancer stage 3

Stage II here with same initial chemo/rads. It doesn't sound convincing now, but it is really true: we can all have exactly the same treatment and react very differently…you will see that from reading past posts here, so don't count on any one thing. Some work through treatment, others can't; again ...

Re: feeling sad but some happy news

Thank you. How bittersweet this time is for you. I think your courage is outstanding and your sensitivity well placed. A huge milestone indeed, and to celebrate a new little one in your family. Your family has been blessed directly from heaven. Wishing you much peace and renewal this Easter, beautif...

Your mind is in the right place Alan. Rest up for some revitalization and get on the path to achieving your goals. Pursue all avenues of benefits to sustain you and have peace of mind, then go get your candy striper uniform.

Hoping it all falls into place for you.

Re: Post radiation question re: Pap smear

Total vaginal stenosis here, but paps are not more painful than pre cancer. My gynecologist is also a long time personal friend; actually friend before gyno and I made sure she was included on all medical records in case I needed things "dumbed down" during treatment. She is very careful a...

Re: Urinary issues?--radiation

Sadly yes, anotherthankyoucancergift. I have no sensation in my bladder, so it can be really full and I have no urge to pee. Leakage started pre-cancer and now post menopause, sneezing and laughing are dangerous. Its an inconvenience I've learned to manage 6 years post radiation/5fu or folfox whiche...
