Re: For those who have NOT had recurrance whatever the stage

My husband was diagnosed in Nov. of 2009 and he has been clear since. His last CEA was in Oct. and last scan in July. He has a 6 month follow-up scan in a couple weeks. Praying that everything will still be clear.

Insurance questions - Kaiser

My husband has to choose a Medicare supplemental plan for when he will turn 65 in March. One of the choices is Kaiser Permanente. I see that they always get very high ratings in Consumer Reports but I wonder what would happen if he should have a recurrence and would want a 2nd opinion. Would that 2n...

Re: A consultation with, well, everyone!

I'm so sorry to hear that it's back, but this treatment sounds like very promising odds and hopefully not too many side effects. Saying prayers that this gets rid of it for good.

Re: how to get through it all

My husband finished Folfox 2-1/2 years ago and he still has the neuropathy. For him it's tingling in his feet and fingertips. He tried Cymbalta for several months but that didn't help. But his onc said that a lot of people have had success with it. He has just learned to live with it. He doesn't hav...

Re: Using the R Word

I somehow missed this thread, but want to say a late CONGRATULATIONS! You've always been such an inspiration with your positive attitude and skiing during Folfox. You were about a month behind my husband in treatments and he passed 3 years last month.
