Well, I wasn't going to say anything, but YOU started it Jeremy ... Yes, jdepp is a wonderful and brilliant man, full of humour, intelligence and wit ... and he is able to weave all that together into beautifully written posts, comments, articles, etc. And I feel special beyond belief that he consid...

Re: need some positive thoughts

F-U-5-F-U? :? *waves to CMH42* I'm coming up to two years ... the "walking time bomb" feeling never totally goes away, but I've got quite good at living in semi-denial and just getting on with things. The worst times are on chemo, and you just can't rely on your emotions to be "normal...

Re: Chemo question for stage IV's

I hear ya. I couldn't handle Oxi at all. The second time with Emend was a bit easier, but it still whacked me out. I don't even want to think about how awful it made me feel. Seven months later the neuropathy in my feet is finally starting to ease up. If maintenance chemo ended up being Xeloda it wo...

Re: recurrence

So sorry to hear your news, Linda. Though of course the worst news would be to also hear the words "untreatable". And anything has got to be better than Oxi. I hope things go well for you. Drop me a line if you want to talk. *hugs* Good luck with your treatment too, Terry. That scarf with ...

Re: Neuropathy 6 months post chemo - normal?

Well, the thing is...I'm on vaca now and it's over 30deg celsius here... Well, there goes my Ontario winter theory then... ;) When mine first started it was August and about 40º here. It's been pretty constant since then, but if my feet get cold then they hurt more. Oh, and I also got the skin peel...
