AP Window lymph node removed today!

So relieved to be able to tell you that the solitary node that lit up on the PET earlier this week was completely removed today! And it was indeed cancerous. It was deep and lying in a precarious position between the left pulmonary artery and the left main bronchus. So hats off to my thoracic surgeo...

After talking to my thoracic surgeon's surgical nurse yesterday, she told me he plans to follow up the mediastinoscopy with a bronchoscopy just to make sure the nodes higher up ...

Question about node biopsy...or possibly even complete removal

I received the results of my CT/PET today. The questionable node from my CT six weeks ago has increased again. It went from 12.6 to 16.6mm and showed an uptake of 6.4. So after chatting with my thoracic surgeon this afternoon, he said he couldn't reach it by bronchoscopy. He would need to make an in...

Re: September Scans?

My scan and blood work is scheduled for Sept 27th. I postponed the visit with my Onc until Oct 11th, thinking we were going on vacation. I'm fine with that as I should be able to get the results on the 29th or 30th. I've had really bad reflux the past four months that caused chronic laryngitis. I've...
