Re: 2018 "On the Rise" Featured Survivor application deadline?

This is an AMAZING year-long experience. I can't believe it's only been 9 months since the 2016 magazine launched. It is life-changing in so many ways. I never thought I would be speaking at a health conference in front of 2,000 people while wearing a crop-top and blue tutu to show them my scars, bu...

Card Shower for DK37

Hey CTalk peeps! It's been a couple of years since we've done this, but I'd like to set up a card shower for DK37 to help him ring in the new year. The goal is to have at least one card from each state, with any international being a bonus. If you are interested, rules are simple. PM me and I will s...

Hello from an old timer!

What's up people?!? It's been a while since I've been on. Lots of life being lived. :D Pita mentioned that some were wondering how I was doing and I realized I am long overdue for an update. 2016 has been crazy with potential recurrence to the lung (turned out to be lung thang that went away), actua...

Re: Hope and a Miracle

Thanks Jacque! We still don't know what that lung spot was, but it did resolve and stayed away. We now know that the CEA rise was due to the liver. Now that my scans picked up the tumor, my oncs were able to go back to the prior scan and identify the beginning inklings of it. But in the words of my ...

Re: Checking In; BrownBagger Update (w/photos & drone video)

Totally agree about coming and going on CT, but it is nice to see you post as it really does bring out all the old timers. Wishing you well BB, and hope that you continue to kick the can down the road until the immunotherapy option becomes more solid for a cure.

An Alternative Happy Mother's Day

This article came across my FB page. http://timewarpwife.com/open-letter-pastors-non-mom-speaks-mothers-day/ It covers really well the various things that the non-traditional "mother" role follows, so I thought I would share here. I am lucky to have the most amazing (step) daughter anyone ...

Re: Hope and a Miracle

I'm happy for you! I was wondering did you have positive lymphnodes after the initial surgery 8 years ago? Yes, I had some positive lymph nodes. My memory isn't what it used to be, but I think I had 7 or 8 out of 12. Keep hoping and sharing the love my friends. There is so much crap (literally and ...

Re: 2017 Colondar 2.0 Applications

I never thought that I would ever do something like this, but I'm so glad that I was pushed outside of my comfort zone and became a part of this absolutely amazing experience. If you're worried about not knowing how to be a model, don't worry. The team of people that put you together and get you in ...

Re: Makeup and Erbitux Rash?

I'm a huge fan of the Bare Escentuals/Bare Minerals make-up line. They have a liquid foundation that has done a great job for hiding some scarring that I have, so I would think that it would work pretty well over the rashes. Aside from good coverage, I love that I can fall asleep in it and not worry...
