Thank you all for the replies. We have been in stable territory for such a while that this really has been a shock. Will keep you all updated.

Re: Terrible scan results

I'd feel gutted too, Willow. What a roller coaster of a ride for all of you. I hope the onc provided your parents w/a clearer explanation, other than his own shock, than what you are providing here. It does sound like your dad may be a chemo-for-life candidate w/all the lymph node involvement. But ...

Re: Terrible scan results

Why wasn't he scanned at 30 days? My husband will stop chemo in June after 12 rounds of Folfox but will be scanned after 30 days. Just curious, really. Lots of prayers for you! We all agreed on a 3 month break, after 45 cycles of folfiri & such stable scans we never predicted this, but in hinds...

Terrible scan results

Dad had scan today & news terrible. Last scan 78 days ago was clear & from stopping the chemo the cancer has come back with a vengeance. Through lymph nodes around tumour site, peritoneal & all through liver....Onc stopped counting at 30. The onc was shocked & thought a 3 month break...

Re: Stage IV (4) colon cancer 4 lesions on liver lympnotes

Sorry your mum & family have to go through this. You just have to take it one step at a time. My Dad had lots of folfiri cycles. Lots of ups & downs. We were new to cancer so was a big shock. Horrible your mum has to fight it again but hopefully knowing she beat breast cancer & that expe...

Glad you could get in so soon. It is so stressful when waiting for tests & fearing the worse, hopefully this has been unnecessary stress. Fingers crossed for you..

Re: H.Pylori

Re: H.Pylori

I am going through my H-Pylori treatment now. The dual antibiotics are tough on my system even with the PPI. Mine was found when I had the EMR to remove ascending colon mass. Not thrilled about having it. It is another risk factor and something else to watch. Plan to re-populate with natural pro-bi...

Re: H.Pylori

I just got over H-Pylori back in December. It is horrible I felt worse than hell.. The H-pylori turned my acid reflex into GERD and I literally felt like I drank a bottle of boric acid. My throat all down to my stomach we fire. They had to do an endoscope to find it. Plus I let them do a colonopspy...

I'm quite glad had symptoms so can try treat as I have read with a small amount cases can increase risk of CRC.
