Actually I did have some hand foot syndrome going on-not bad, but it was starting to get there. my palms and feet got red and a little peeled. Forgot about that......

Hi Angie-I had 5 rounds folfox and in the middle of treatment did some radiation with xeloda for 5 weeks...then back to folfox for 3 rounds. For me, the xeloda was actually easier..but everyone is different. I didn't feel as blah with xeloda. I did however have more bowell issues-diarrhea. But it co...

I'd definately get an opinion or 2 on that from your onc. I had HIPEC, and both the surgeon and onc at Mayo said no chemo is best. I just had a strong dose of mitomycin used. Folfox did not prevent my peritoneal mets either.

Yay! I'm happy to hear you are able to have HIPEC done! I know...it's weird to be happy about surgery huh? But it's a good thing! So glad you and Ray are HIPEC buddies too-it's good to know you are not alone in this. Will be praying for you. :D

Thanks Janklo-that is a good idea. I'll have to check and see if they did test that. I'm not sure.
I'm glad to hear your daughter's chemo is at least keeping things under control. I've seen you post on her, and am so happy to see she is doing better. :D

Steph, what about your CEA? Was that normal? Does yours fluctuate at all when you have disease? Hi Janklo, CEA was 1.1-normal,,,and it only fluctuated with my initial colon tumor (19). But it did not fluctuate when I had just the peritoneal mets after I was done with chemo...so the peritoneal mets ...
