My GI doc said I had a very large (2.5cm) polyp and that he's seen them before and it's not cancer. He called me on July 3rd, I was sitting in the recliner and he said the path report shows it's cancer. I bet he'll never tell a patient that he knows it's not cancer again. I was very calm also. I har...

Who told you what your enzymes were? Why didn't you ask them what that meant? Even if it was the nurse you should ask her/him questions, if they don't know they should get back to you with the answer. Your enzymes are about double of the normal. Were you taking a lot of tylenol? Mine have been high ...

My maternal grandmother had rectal cancer in her 70's. My maternal grandfathers sister and nephew both had colon cancer neither which are considered in the family history but makes you wonder if they should expand that. My paternal grandfather had esophageal cancer. I can't say about my mother since...

There is not anything up by me. If I combine the population of the four closest cities we might have a population of 5000. How do you start a support group? I would think I would have to start a general one up here to have a few people.

I've never heard of the blue star, I'll have to go to the site and look at it. I was trying to find a place where I could buy the blue bracelets. I found them online once and then when I went to buy then the site wouldn't come up.

Have you tried Mylanta? I was taking compazine for the nausea but every so often it didn't work and I would take a swig of Mylanta and that helped. I also had to eat or I would definately get sick.

Good Luck!

My grandkids came over all the time when I went through chemo (ages 2 and 4). Handwashing is a real biggy and no kissies if they have snotty noses. Your moms immune system should still be fine since she's going to be just getting her first chemo TX, it takes a couple to lower your immune system. I w...

THANK YOU ALL for your input! It is a difficult decision and I'm still going back and forth at what to do. The good thing is I'm only T2 and he said that may have even been a T1. I have to talk to him again to make sure that if I were to only have the excision that I don't have a problem with incont...
