Re: HAI Pump - Long Term NED

Jalusa, Like Julie said, I am 6 years NED. CPTMAC is 10 years clear. There are others on another board I frequent also long-term clear after HAI. You specifically asked about someone that used HAI to become respectable, however, so wanted to mention a friend of mine that does not post here. Doug was...

Re: To Sell or Donate a Question? Views Please

Sharon,

Perhaps you could take the money from the hair and from that amount make a donation in your dear husband's name and use the remainder towards a bill. You both honor his memory and take care of the children.

Best wishes,
Amy

Re: Really??!!??

Bev, I read all the time but hardly post. Your thread just brought me to my knees and I felt compelled to login and write. This just really sucks. I can't, no I refuse, to believe it. Please know that someone way south of you in NJ is thinking of you and praying that this is truly nothing. Sending y...

Re: Liver Resection tomorrow at MSKCC

Great news! You are in great hands. When I was brought into the surgical theater I thought, "Holy shit! This place is amazing!!"

You will do great. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Walk as soon as you can.

Re: you can only resection with 1 liver met

An oncologist typically shouldn't comment as to whether a patient is inoperable or operable given they never do surgeries. Only a qualified hepatobiliary surgeon can determine if one is resectable or not. Even then, some are more experienced than others. My liver surgeon does 100 surgeries per year!...

Re: Anyone at MSK today?

NY Metsrule, Not to hijack Julie's thread but she is a doll and won't mind an answer to your question. Dr. K doesn't allow pump refills and/or treatments at Basking Ridge. If you are her patient you are treated in NYC. I tried that many times (getting pump fills at BR since it's only 15 minutes from...

Re: Anyone at MSK today?

Julie, What great news! So happy for you! I bet you danced all the way home! I know I would have! BTW, pump removal still not done. Was scheduled for March 6 but the week before my arm lost all its strength and feeling. My C6 and C7 collapsed (long time issues) and having cervical surgery to repair ...

Re: HAI pump patients...question please

Richard, The LDH is the number she uses to help assess the liver mets. Mine also dropped after treatments. It's a good thing. If you are so inclined you can review your bloodword at my.mskcc.og. You will need to register for an account but once in you can send secure emails, review billing, see medi...
